ch 6 The Garden

Miss Grimwood brought a covered tray to a dinner table outside. Hand rang a small bell.

"Come and get it, my little ones" Miss Grimwood called out.

Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy were immediately at the table.

"Zoinks! Like I thought you'd never ask. Running really revs up the appitite, eh Scoob?" Shaggy said.

"Reah, Rappitite" Scooby said lifting the tray to reveal steaks.

"Mmm!"

"Wow! This looks pretty tasty" Scrappy said.

"Oh, I certainly hope so" Miss Grimwood said.

"Mmm. Yum yummy" Scooby said.

Scooby was about to stick his fork in a steak when Hand took the food away.

"Nothing's too good for my garden" Miss Grimwood said feeding the steaks to carnivorous plants.

"Come and get it"

"Like those overgrown flytraps are grabbing all the grub" Shaggy said.

Tanis walked up to Miss Grimwood.

"Can I feed this one, Miss Grimwood? Can I?" Tanis asked.

"Of course, Tanis. But be careful, they sometimes bite the hand that feeds them" Miss Grimwood said.

One of the plants ate Hand who had to fight his way out. Once free he punched the plant.

"Don't worry, I'll be careful" Tanis said throwing a steak in the air.

The plant grabbed it and swallowed it.

"How many times do I have to tell you? Chew before you swallow" Miss Grimwood scolded the plant.

The plant burped.

"See?"

"Like, let's split up. There must be something to eat in this garden" Shaggy told the boys.

"Reah! Right!" Scooby said before the three split up.

"Hey, I found some tomatoes" Scrappy said.

Scrappy picked a tomato only for it to burst in his grip.

"Some rotten tomatoes" Scrappy said.

"Like here's some squash" Shaggy said.

Shaggy picked up a squash only for it to be squished in his grasp.

"Yuck. Some squished squash" Shaggy said.

Scrappy poked a watermelon only for it to deflate like a balloon.

"And these watermelons have expired" Scrappy said.

"Like everything in this garden is totally rotten!" Shaggy said.

"Thanks, we do our best" Sibella said.

"But every so often, something fresh sneaks in. Oh, Skellie, dear" Miss Grimwood called out pointing to some ripe corn.

"I'm on it" Skellie said with a smile.

Walking over to the corn, she took off one of her gloves and touched it. The corn instantly rotted.

"Thank you, dear" Miss Grimwood said.

"My pleasure. No one likes ripe corn. Blegh!" Skellie said putting her glove back on.

"Oh boy. Like what I wouldn't give for a pizza right now" Shaggy said.

Winnie turned to Sibella.

"How much allowence do you have left, Sibella?"

"Uh, a Transylvanian dollar" Sibella said holding up a coin.

"Well, we should have enough. Get flappin'" Winnie said.

Sibella turned into a bat and Shaggy fainted.

Meanwhile, Scooby was sniffing the ground when he came acrass a pair of peculiar plants. One of the plant's opened it's eye causing Scooby to scream.

"Rikes! Raggy! Ryes! Ryes! Ryes!" Scooby said running over to Shaggy and picking him up from the ground.

"Rice!? Where!?" Shaggy exclaimed hopefully.

"No! Ryes!" Scooby said pulling on his eyelids.

"Oh, eyes. Like why didn't you say so?" Shaggy asked.

"I did" Scooby said.

The eye plants looked at each other before slinking down into the ground. Scrappy walked over but didn't see anything.

"Gee, I don't see any eyes, Uncle Scooby" Scrappy said.

"Like you were hallucinating, Scoob. Hunger makes you do that you know" Shaggy said.

Scooby just glared, certain that he saw something.

Winnie looked up in the sky and howled.

"You won't be hungry for long, guys" Winnie said pointing up to Sibella.

Sibella flew down with a pizza before turning back to normal.

"One pizza to go, with everything on it. Except garlic of course" Sibella said.

"Smells wonderful! Smells great!" Shaggy said as he and Scooby took a slice.

"Reah!" Scooby said before they took a bite.

"Hey, like, what's on this stuff?" Shaggy asked.

"Oh, spiderwebs, snails, and tadpole tails" Sibella said.

Shaggy and Scooby looked at each other before gulping.

"Relicious" Scooby said.

"Uh, yeah. Now, while we're snackin', you girls get crackin'. Meet you back at the School" Shaggy said as he and Scooby walked off.

"Alright, coach!" Elsa called out.

Meanwhile the eye plants were spying on Shaggy and Scooby.

"So, the Grimwood girls have a new coach, eh?" Revolta said before laughing evilly.

"Who will fit perfectly into my plan"

"It was a good thing I brought my venus spy traps into Grimwood's garden" Creeper said.

"You have done well, my Grim Creeper. Soon, I will have those good little ghouls in my grasp. And then, I, Revolta, the Witch of the web, will be the most powerful witch in all of monsterdom" Revolta said before everyone started laughing evilly.
