A slap resounded in the recording studio, a door slammed, and cries were heard.

Chan was kneeling on the ground while holding the cheek where Jeongin's handprint still lingered. His eyes were empty, his lips parted, no emotions were visible on his face. A girl came and engulfed him in a hug. He just closed his eyes and let himself go against the girl.

Jeongin, on the other hand, was crying his heart out. He needed comfort, and he could only find it in Minho's arms. The man who made his life hell but who, deep down, harbored such sincere and profound love for him. Jeongin had returned to the apartment he shared with Minho, Felix, and Seungmin and had gone straight to his elder's room. Unfortunately for him, Minho wasn't there, but he still threw himself onto his bed and wrapped himself in the blanket, letting his tears flow freely.
Later that evening, Minho finally came home. He did his best to console his younger brother after the latter told him about his fight with Chan, his boyfriend, whom he had found in the arms of their make-up artist. He told him how he had slapped Chan after Chan said they had to break up because he was no longer in love with him.
As Jeongin recounted the whole story, Minho felt anger rising within him against Chan. How could he hurt the youngest when he had promised to love him to infinity, promised him fidelity, and had consciously broken all those promises? Minho would have understood if Chan was no longer in love with Jeongin, as he knew that feelings can't be controlled, but cheating was a choice. Chan had chosen to cheat on Jeongin, and that, Minho would never forgive.

Three months had passed since the fight between Chan and Jeongin.

At first, Jeongin couldn't move on from his relationship with the leader, even though he always remained professional in front of the cameras. In private, he was a wreck. He couldn't function normally, but the members ensured they were there for him. Now, three months later, he was starting to live again. He no longer wanted to rip Chan's head off every time he saw him. He had even started talking to him again, but nothing more. While seeing his ex didn't hurt as much anymore, Jeongin still couldn't get over the fact that Chan had cheated on him. But for the group's sake, he did everything to heal from his wounds and was succeeding thanks to his adorable members. Chan's contribution to his healing couldn't be ignored, as he had wisely kept a low profile.

Recently, Chan had completely disappeared from the radar, only reappearing during group activities. Jeongin knew nothing of his activities but assumed he had continued his relationship with the make-up artist, whom he hadn't seen since. Jeongin also noticed how distant the members were with the leader. Whenever they had personal group activities, Chan was never there; when Chan approached one of them, they only responded briefly or ignored him completely. Jeongin felt guilty, thinking that their friendship had shattered because of him, but Minho assured him it was all Chan's fault. Jeongin believed him because he couldn't bear the weight of guilt on his shoulders.

In the dressing room, the Stray Kids members were gathered around a table, eating and joking heartily. The whole group was there, except for one: Chan.

Chan was in a corner of the room, sitting on a one-seater sofa, knees pulled up to his chest, arms wrapped around himself. He had a pale face, very pronounced dark circles, and dry lips he occasionally moistened. His hands trembled slightly, almost imperceptibly if not paying attention. Chan, who once had very lively, sparkling eyes, now had a vacant, lost look. An empty look.
