It's been a long time, hasn't it? Since my interest in Madness has returned, I remembered this fic that I wrote while ago... Is it bad? Yeah, but can I make it a little better? Yeah. If anyone's reading this, enjoy.
The auditor turned menacingly to face Deimos.
"Back to Business then."
With a quick snap of his fingers he gestured towards the chair that Deimos was quite unfortunately bound to.
"If he bleeds out from that thing, he'd be quite useless now wouldn't he?"
Directing his attention towards one of the two agents guarding Deimos, The Auditor waited for an answer. The agent, momentarily lost in thought, stood silently before hurriedly fumbling throughout his coat pockets in search of something. Pulling out a wrinkled cloth from an inner pocket, he crouched beside Deimos and gently grabbed his leg. Deimos' head immediately swung back in pain. As he sat with his hands clenched into tight fists, he waited for the grunt to finish his handiwork. After a couple of moments the agent finally stood up and returned to his original position, revealing a tourniquet wrapped tightly around the bullet hole that The Auditor had generously given him earlier.
"Ah, there we are." The Auditor beamed sarcastically."It'd be a shame if you died so quickly, don't you think?" He asked, cocking his head in amusement.
Deimos inhaled deeply through his teeth, collecting himself once more with a defiant smile. As he slowly lifted his head, he chuckled quietly to himself.
"Beats hearing you continuously talk my ear off." He said, stretching out in his chair as he took the opportunity to scan the room diligently.
One thing in particular caught Deimos' eye immediately. It was a couple of TV screens stacked on top of each other, playing live security camera feeds from across different sections of the building. One was located in the cafeteria, where two agents conversed over a cup of coffee during their lunch break. The next contained an office area, surveying grunts as they tapped mindlessly away at their computers. But the most interesting feed was from the the building's entrance. Deimos stared at it, wishing hopefully to see Sanford stride through the doors in search for him. Realizing that wishing wouldn't get him far, he shifted to face The Auditor once more.
"-And I hope you knew that well, Deimos." (I guess he's been speaking the hole time, huh?)
As the Auditor finished his sentence Deimos sat in silence, staring at him with a blank expression.
"I... Was not listening." Deimos deadpanned.
The auditor's eye twitched, impatience flickered across his face for a brief moment. "I was saying..." He continued, correcting his posture, standing up straight as he prepared to speak for a second time.
"I originally had much more planned for you, but thanks to our guests soon to be arrival, I'll have to prepare early." He said, turning his back towards Deimos.
"As much as it pains me, I'll have to end this little charade now." He paused for a moment before continuing, "Your friend isn't going to find you here alive, that was never even a possibility, and I hoped you already knew that well, Deimos." He turned back around to gaze at his prisoners expression.
"I mean- 3 hours? Did you really expect me to keep you here for that long?" The Auditor laughed. "I have business to attend to!" He rose his arms, gesturing all around himself.
The Auditor then extended his hand toward an agent expectantly, as they promptly placed a pistol into his palm. Taking a couple steps forward, The Auditor paused in front of Deimos and pressed the barrel to his forehead. The cool metal instantly sent a shiver down Deimos' spine.
"Playtimes over." The Auditor shrugged, looking Deimos in the eye without the slightest hint of remorse.
BOOM
A deafening crash reverberated throughout the building, shaking the floor beneath them and causing pieces of the ceiling to crumble down and sprinkle through the room. Everyone collectively turned their heads as agents sprang into action, pouring out of the room to investigate the sudden commotion.
"What might this be?" The Auditor questioned, lowering the pistol in confusion.
Deimos quickly cocked his head to the side, attempting view the camera feeds. But there was nothing...
