Jett shot Bumbles a panicked look as Adison squinted suspiciously at the fridge door, now fully ajar.

"What's going on here?" Adison asked, her hands on her hips, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern.

"Uh, just, you know... trying to channel some kitchen spirits!" Jett exclaimed, her voice way too high-pitched to be convincing. "You know how it is with all the food vibes in here."

Adison raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. "Food vibes? Really?"

"Yeah! You know, food can have a lot of energy!" Jett added, desperately searching for something—anything—to divert Adison's attention. "Like, uh, think about how leftovers have their own aura."

Adison shook her head, amusement creeping into her expression. "Are you trying to convince me the fridge is haunted by the spirits of expired pizza?"

"Maybe!" Jett replied with a forced laugh, her mind racing. "Look, it's just... really spooky in here! I thought a little fridge haunt might spice things up."

Bumbles, hiding behind Jett, whispered, "I didn't mean for it to look like a ghost. I was just trying to help!"

"Shh!" Jett hissed, shooting a glare at her tiny demon companion. "You're not helping!"

"Okay, so it's definitely not a ghost," Adison said, stepping closer, her curiosity piqued. "But it does make me wonder what you were really doing before I walked in. Did you summon something... less than savory?"

Jett froze, caught in a web of her own making. "Um, no. I just... you know how I love experimenting with the unknown. I thought I'd try my hand at summoning something cute. Like a... a puppy demon!"

Adison gave her a look that said she was not buying it for a second. "A puppy demon? So now you're into *adorable* dark magic?"

"Absolutely!" Jett quickly replied, her heart racing. "But, uh, I might've miscalculated the ingredients, and now it's... um, doing its thing!"

Adison folded her arms, eyeing Jett with suspicion. "Right. So your adorable puppy demon decided to haunt the fridge instead of, I don't know, being adorable?"

"Yes! Exactly!" Jett exclaimed, relieved that Adison seemed to be following her chaotic logic. "You know how puppies can be a bit... mischievous?"

Adison didn't look convinced but clearly enjoyed the spectacle. "And how exactly does a puppy demon affect the fridge?"

"I—uh—thought it would look cute if it opened the fridge to show off its cute food habits!" Jett stammered, her brain working overtime to keep the charade intact. "You know, like puppy snacks or something!"

Adison snorted. "Puppy snacks in our fridge? That's *not* how the food pyramid works, Jett."

"Exactly!" Jett pressed, her pulse quickening. "So it just... went for a snack. Can't blame it for that, right?"

With one last suspicious glance at the fridge, Adison sighed, clearly not convinced but willing to play along for now. "Okay, I'll bite. But if I find an actual puppy in there, you're explaining how you got it."

"Deal!" Jett replied, relieved. "Just... help me close the door. I'll take care of everything else."

Adison stepped forward to close the fridge, glancing at Jett with a mix of confusion and amusement. "And what do you plan to do with your 'puppy demon' now?"

"Uh, just... you know, train it!" Jett replied, feigning enthusiasm. "I'm sure it just needs some discipline, and then it'll be fine!"

"Right. Discipline," Adison repeated, smirking. "What's next? Puppy yoga?"

"Exactly! But, uh, maybe we should avoid puppy yoga until I get the hang of things," Jett admitted sheepishly. "Last thing we need is to unleash a mischievous demon in a room full of, you know, actual puppies."

Adison laughed. "Good point. So, what's the next step in your demon training program?"

"First, we need to lay low," Jett said, casting a quick glance at Bumbles, who was peeking out from behind her. "Then, we'll brainstorm some safer pranks. Something less... explosive this time."

Bumbles nodded vigorously, clearly eager to redeem itself. "I promise I won't blow anything up! Just a little harmless mischief, I swear!"

"Let's hope so," Jett replied, her heart racing with excitement. "What's next on the agenda?"

As they made their way back into the living room, Jett couldn't help but feel a surge of adrenaline. Sure, things had started rocky with Bumbles, but the chaotic thrill of having a demon sidekick was exhilarating. There was something thrilling about playing with the supernatural, even if it came with its own set of challenges.

Once they were settled on the couch, Jett pulled out her notebook and began jotting down ideas. "Okay, we need to brainstorm some new plans. What about something classic like hiding Adison's favorite mug?"

"Or we could turn her shower water ice-cold!" Bumbles chimed in, grinning widely.

"Now we're talking!" Jett said, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "But let's save that one for a day when she's really cranky. We need something more subtle for now."

Bumbles pondered for a moment before suggesting, "What about making her clothes 'disappear' and reappear in a totally different place?"

Jett smirked, the wheels in her head turning. "That could work. It would be a minor inconvenience, just enough to drive her nuts but not enough to cause an actual meltdown."

They continued brainstorming, Bumbles throwing out silly suggestions that made Jett laugh. She couldn't believe she was actually enjoying this. Maybe the demon wasn't a complete disaster after all. Maybe this chaotic little creature could actually make her life a little more fun.
"Alright, Bumbles," Jett said, a sly smile creeping across her face. "Let's see what other mischief we can get into tonight."
