Exciting News: Baby Number 3It was a calm evening at the Brock household when Valerie sat down on the couch, her hand resting on her growing belly. Colby was playing with Xander and Xavier on the floor, but every few minutes, his eyes would flicker over to Valerie with a mixture of excitement and nervousness.
They had recently found out the big news—Valerie was pregnant again, and this time, it was a girl. Xander and Xavier were still getting used to the idea of another sibling, but Colby and Valerie couldn't have been more thrilled.
Valerie smiled as she watched the boys play, already imagining what it would be like to have a little girl running around alongside her big brothers. She placed a hand on her belly, feeling the small flutters of movement.
"Boys, come here for a second," she called out gently.
Xander and Xavier quickly scrambled over to her, curious expressions on their faces. "What's up, Mom?" Xander asked, always eager to know what was going on.
Valerie took a deep breath, her heart warm with the moment. "You know how we've been talking about you having another sibling?" she said, smiling down at both of them.
Xavier's eyes widened. "Is the baby coming now?!" he asked, bouncing up and down in excitement.
Valerie chuckled softly. "Not yet, buddy. But we just found out that you're going to have a baby sister."
Xander's eyes lit up with curiosity. "A sister? What's her name going to be?"
Colby, who had moved to sit beside Valerie, grinned. "We haven't decided on a name yet, but we'll make sure it's something special."
Xavier's face scrunched up in thought. "I'll teach her to do cartwheels!" he declared proudly.
Xander smiled softly, though he was still processing the idea of having a sister. "I guess I could help her build towers with my blocks," he said quietly, already starting to think about being a big brother.
Valerie looked at both of her boys with a mixture of pride and affection. "You two are going to be great big brothers. She's lucky to have you both," she said, her voice soft.
Colby wrapped an arm around Valerie, leaning in to give her a kiss on the cheek. "And we're lucky to have her," he added, his eyes filled with warmth.
The boys were already chattering excitedly about all the things they'd do with their little sister when she arrived, and Valerie couldn't help but smile as she listened. There was still a long way to go before the baby was born, but in that moment, everything felt perfect.
