Abandoned

The picture is the front part of his point of view at the cafe. The phone camera lens took more of my seat earlier, but not all. Saeran might have purposely didn't capture straight from the front since the result wouldn't surely look good. It will look awkward. The upper side of the wall was also seen. There is a golden leaf that I guess was made of metal, and beside it is a frame with a quote in it. The way that it was captured turned out to be aesthetic.

It's now 7:30 PM and the picture was posted 15 hours ago. He had the picture taken before I arrived at the cafe, given the time that it was posted. In addition to that, I didn't see him take out his phone while we were eating and talking about different things.

His post is only a solo photo with a caption:  Before the view gets 10x more beautiful.

There are thousands of likes and there are also some comments.

“Ayan na nga. Congrats, dude!”

“I'm sure, ‘yung nag-iisang ano ‘yan eh…”

“Hala si kuya Ran, ika-caption na lang ako mali pa. 10 x 0 dapat kuys.”

“Eomaa, ba’t krisha ipinangalan mo. Beautiful na lang sana!!”

There are a few more comments but I didn't read them. I don't think there's an energy left in me to read comments from other girls who showed their adoration to Saeran through their comments.

The fact that he has a plan to leave and the uncomfortable feeling now caused by those girls' remarks on his post just added to the unpleasant feeling I had right now. Why does it feel like this?

Suddenly, It all became so confusing.

sa.fuentes sent a message

The sudden pop up message almost made me jump from the couch I'm sitting on. After seconds of internal conflict of whether I will ignore his message or will open it, the latter won.

Saeran:

Hi. I enjoyed breakfast earlier with you.
I hope you are too. Good night, Nayeli!

His message caused my heart to pound but instead of replying, I just left it on seen.

The next day, when afternoon came, I already replied to him by saying that I enjoyed it too. I also apologized for replying late. He said it was fine and asked me if we can eat together tomorrow for lunch. I haven't replied to him yet.

Nayeli:

Sorry, but it's midterm week.
I'll focus on my exam.

My reply to him on Monday morning before I go to school.

It is the truth, though. I should really focus on my exam, but I know that a lunch with him wouldn't hurt. But the big reason why I didn't agree is because I wanted to avoid him.

When lunch time came, I ate together with my…friends. We just had our lunch at the cafeteria.

After a long tiring day, I'm now in my bed to sleep, but I checked my account first where there is a message from Saeran that was sent earlier this afternoon.

Saeran:

Alright. Next time then? After our midterm exam?

Nayeli:

I’ll see.

Tipid kong reply.

The weekdays passes by so slow. He would send messages now and then. He’s very consistent by greeting me good morning and good night. He would also sometimes ask what I am doing. I'm not even complaining because I like it. I replied to his messages but either
I will keep it short or I will reply hours after I see his messages.
