Chapter The First

                                              The words struck her like lead bullets and left her head spinning. What could she do now that everything had changed? Alex was a 16 year old girl who was living in a small town and her family were happy.
When Alex was 14 she came out to her family ad transgender because she was fed up of pretending she was still a boy and the pretending made her uncomfortable. Alex was surprised as her family didn't hate her and everything was okay. 
That was until she got a call while in class today. The teacher let her step out to take the call as it was from the police. When she returned to class it was clear she was holding back tears as she packed up her things to leave.
"And where do you think you're going, Alex?" Her teacher asked.
"The hospital" Alex replied her voice clearly shaking.
"Oh dear, is everything okay?why fid the police call?" Her teacher asked worried for her.
"No, but I don't want to talk about it" Alex mumbled.
"Okay then, stay safe" her teacher replied before going back to teaching.
Alex slowly walks down the hallway to her older brothers class before knocking and entering.
"Ah, Alex what do you need?" Saod her brothers teacher noticing somthing was wrong.
"Daniel and I need to go to the hospital...now" she replied
"What? Why?" Daniel sort of half yells utterly confused. " our checkup isn't till next week"
"It's not that just....come on ill explain on the way" Alex replies
As they walk out the school Alex dosnt say a word but once they are in Daniel's car about to start driving to the hospital she explains how the police called her in class.
"Why did they call you? You didn't do anything illegal did you?" Daniel questions worried about his younger sister.
"No I haven't......it was about mama and papa" Alex replies struggling to hold her tears back any longer.
"What about them? Don't tell me they've been arrested" Daniel says his fear and worry rising.
"They've been in an accident mama didn't make it and papa's in a coma that's why we need to go to the hospital." Alex replied now crying.
If Daniel was driving he would have stopped the car so quickly it would have caused a crash but thankfully they were both still in the schools car park.
About an hour later they arrive at the hospital and rush in. As soon as they have their fathers room number they rush in to see him and over the next 5 weeks they stay with him skipping school until he wakes up
