Plot:
This story takes place in an alternate universe of earth where the Dark Ages of humanity never happened. So because of that earth is a lot more advanced and has tech straight out of sci-fi, but nothing on the level of star wars it you're thinking that.
Flying cars, robots, ray guns and stuff like that.
Humanity has been doing well...well as well as humanity can be doing.
However because of advancements, a lot of people lost their jobs to A.I, of course not all jobs were lost as there are some things A.I can't do that humans can't.
A.I isn't alive after all, it is simply a tool.
Idols are also still very big and one of the biggest is the entire Hatsune family.
The Hatsune family is quite a unique family.
Their genes are quite odd, similar to Nurse Joy from the Pokemon series.
So there are a lot of girls in the Hatsune family and most of them are idols and have formed an idol group.
And you are their bodyguard.
Yes, (Y/N) (L/N), you're a retired soldier who's been living an okay life since you returned home.
The only problem was that you needed a job and you've been searching for a while, but sadly your skills as a soldier isn't exactly good for a quiet life.
Thankfully you did manage to find a job as the only human bodyguard for the Hatsune idol group.
The girls specifically demanded a human bodyguard over some automated security system or robots.
Apparently they wanted someone who they could bond with and someone to talk to.
You really had no better options and applied and much to your surprise you got the job.
They took note of how you were an army vet and that could be helpful in case something happened.
In truth you weren't actually a bodyguard, you were more of a babysitter really.
There would be robot guards, but you were there to keep the girls out of trouble, find them if they get lost and essentially just listen to them if they had a problem and help them out.
Robots cannot emote after all.
You decided to accept as you had nothing better to do with your life and so that's how you became the babysitter to the Hatsune idols.
You go on many misadventures in this odd world, get to know the girls and even occasionally protect them usually from parasocial freaks who you are more than happy to break the bones of or sick the robots on.
And as things progress the Hatsune idols all begin falling for you much to your surprise.
You wouldn't have guessed they would all fall for you but now that's something you have to deal with.
