March 11, 1995, Thursday

Draco's POV

The cold fabric of the sheets under my palm when I rolled onto my side pulled me out of my sleep. I squinted at the clock as the light felt too bright to my pupils. 

1:48, the clock said when I heard the sound of water in the restroom. I sat up and looked at Nora's desk to see an empty coffee cup and notebooks lying around. 

Mother of heavens.

Nora walked out of the restroom while wiping her wet face with a towel. "Hey, did I wake you up?" she asked as she walked up the table near the bed. "Nora. You said you'd come to bed 2 hours ago" I ran a hand through my hair. My eyes studied her sleepy eyes and tired face making a sigh leave my lips. 

"I didn't study anything at all. We have the exam in the morning. I should complete at least a little more than half before sleeping" she blurted. I turned around and pulled her onto my lap and held her close.

A captivating smile adored her tiered face when I kissed her cheek. "You need to rest. I'll wake you up in the morning and we both can revise together, alright, love?" I asked while swaying us sleepily. 

"I have procrastinated since morning. I can't sleep peacefully if I don't complete anything" her voice was a mix of anxiety and tiredness. "Listen to me, love" I whispered. "I'll make sure you're ready for the exam before it's time. I promise. Please sleep now"  

"I- I don't know" 

"Nora."

"Okay fine, I'll turn the lights off" she said, standing up to go kill the lights.

I made some room for her and pulled the quilt over me. My eyes were already closed when I felt an arm and leg wrap itself around me. "You are so comfortable to sleep on" Nora giggled when I put my arms around her, making me chuckle at her statement. "I'll take that as a complement" I kissed her forehead.

"It was a complement!" 

"Okay, sleep." I placed a goodnight kiss on her lips, silencing her.

"Thank god" Nora exclaimed as we walked to the great hall after walking out of the exam hall. "I'm gonna worry about the results later. I need sleep now" 

"Why don't you go to your room and sleep after lunch?" I suggested. "I do plan on doing that" she said, slinging an arm around mine. "You wanna watch a movie later?" she grinned, with bright eyes.

"Uhh... Maybe after dinner? I have quidditch practice" my teeth sunk into my lower lip subconsciously. I didn't want to upset her after such a long week.

"That's alright. I won't be able to sleep at night if I go sleep now anyway" she shrugged. I smiled, happy that she was not agitated.

I actually did not have practice today. I had something planned. She studied hard for the exams but was still dissatisfied with her preparation. Leading to a lot of anxiousness and being skeptical about herself.

A relaxing evening would be nice.

"I don't see you studying at all. How do you still top the class?" Nora's voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I chuckled and replied, "I pay attention in class and complete studying the lessons right after it has been taught in class" 

"I try that but somehow end up scrolling Insta" she wore a confused expression as she spoke, pulling a little laugh from me.

"You have the attention span of a squirrel when you don't want to concentrate," I retorted. "Who are you calling a squirrel?" I turned to see her glaring. "No- but they are cute, like you" I winked. The frown on her face settled into a small smile.
