It's a brand new school year for everyone in Hades. Jeremy got of bed with a loud yawn. The night before he had struggled to sleep with the anticipation of going back to school, causing him to lose a few hours of sleep. He move close to his nightstand to grab his phone, staring at the bright screen to see his social media, he wasn't the only one as couple of his friends got on. As he eventually got up from bed to pick his outfit for the day, eating breakfast and saying bye to his parents as he close his door to begin his walk to the bus stop, there he saw at familiar faces. A few girls stop their conversation to look at him, one of them waving to him.
Jeremy went to speak with the girl, who's been in many of his classes. "Hey Jeremy. How was your summer?" He look at her while she move her silver hair from her face having an unfamiliar look to him. "Uneventful, my parents didn't plan anything so I laze around all summer." He watch her get closer, not understanding why. Jeremy growing confusion when someone bump into him. Turning around to see the face of a kid he avoided all summer, a kid name Storne who seem angry about something.
"Watch where you standing bitch." Jeremy knew that hostile tone and Stone with a couple of his friends look at each other silently. "Leave him alone Stone!" That didn't seem to defuse tension making the slow walk faster. "I'm going fuck you up Jeremy" he froze as Stone approach him. "I think you didn't hear the girl over there, I'll repeat it" That voice stop Stone in his tracks, looking to see two guys looking at him with fierce stare's. "Back the fuck off Stone and we won't have no problems." Jeremy saw the nervousness on Stone face and knew these two have a reputation.
Jeremy could see his schoolmates losing interest while other whispers about Stone behavior and some about the two guys, he look at them, wondering why he had help him. "You a trip Bro. Still seeing those fools shook like that, funniest shit I seen a minute." He watch the other laugh. "I trying to do good deed Bro," Watching as he became serious. " You know he's been picking fights with Jeremy because that girl, notice those fools in the back Sam" The one called Sam nodded, They both got quiet as they knew Jeremy had been eavesdropping. They both walk closer to him, he was alert at their intentions. "Hey Jeremy. I don't trust Stone to let this go, he isn't the type. Trust me on this, don't hang out with that girl."
He didn't understand why he couldn't hang out with someone, they took his silence of wondering the reason. "That girl isn't bad, don't get it twisted, I'm saying she got a few guys like Stoney obsessing over her." Jeremy hearing the slow arrival of the bus, as the bus door open, he walk inside thinking about what he said. Jeremy watching the girl sit near him with her friends. Stone not far either, he could feel the tense stare from him, choosing to look away. 'What did I do?' His first day starting school, he sat and ponder on the thought.
'Why is Stone angry at me? Maybe he has crush on her...that does make sense I just don't understand why he's angry at me.' Seeing outside of the school itself as the bus driver stop completely, pressing a button to allow them to exit. He saw many people walking outside, a rough start didn't take away that they had one
final year before becoming high school students. He knew some of people around, saying his good mornings. "Hey Jeremy!" He got plenty of that while searching his new class. He saw the guy who defended him in his classroom around as Jeremy found his new classroom for this school term. When he enter the classroom he saw a lot of schoolmates adapting already while others kept to themselves. The day went as expected, Jeremy exiting out the school building to see that girl stood there. "I thought you'll never get out, I know it's sudden, do you want to walk home with me?" His mind filling with what he should do. "Okay, I wouldn't mind walking back home together." Both making their way from the school premises as Jeremy stare at the girl, who took the space in between them as the minutes pass, at times their bodies brushing against each other. He didn't mind as her skin felt soft against his own, trying to focus to her talking.
"Want to go to my house? My parents aren't home." He didn't know why that sent a chill through his body, maybe the way she said it
to him compare to how she talk in the beginning. 'Her parents won't be home, why would that matter? I am a boy though, her dad wouldn't be happy to see me.' Jeremy seem to wonder what she wanted to do alone. "Okay." She seem to pick up speed wherever she live, he follow in her pace. They finally stop at a gated apartment building, as she search for a key in her pocket. She went toward a gate with a lock, opening it to allow them to enter. Jeremy experiencing a sudden thrill from following her toward stairs, as she climb up a flight of stairs. She stop at the third floor looking around her surroundings to make sure nobody see them go inside. Pushing that door and watching her remove her shoes, as he walk behind her. "Hold on let me see if anyone is here." She whisper to him as she close the curtains to her apartment.
'What is going on?' He look at her checking the rooms until she felt sure about something. "Jeremy, I've never met a boy like you. You're different from the other guys. I can tell every time we talk to each other." She went toward her room as she beckon him. 'I'm suddenly nervous about this, nothing bad will happen, I think.' He follow her into her room as he watch her sit at her bed, patting her side for to sit. "So, I never been in a girls room before, it's nice and smell pretty good in here." She scoot for a moment to grab something, a bag full of squares, wondering why she it set near her. "Yeah, I keep it clean for the most part. Hate my room being messy. Not all the time, I do love to make a mess on a bed." She gave him a wink, Jeremy was picking up a sense of being out of his element.
'I can see why Stone got obsess about her, whatever she's doing is amazing.' Whatever click to her, Jeremy saw her look at him before taking a deep breath. "Jeremy you really are innocent, I'm sorry. I thought I could do it. Want to watch television, I got a show I like but make sure to keep track of the time. Okay? Around eight you should go." He nod to her as they both sat silently watching the show, Jeremy felt a sense of disappointment. He watch the movie thinking what she originally planned to do with him. Another thing is why it felt nice to be at her side, enjoying every minute of them laughing or in general the conversation. "I just get tired because they think of me as I'm not a person, like I belong to them or something." Venting away of her troubles as he intently listen. He held her hand surprising her as she blush at his sudden touch.
"You're a really good person. I'm sure the guys have a good reason for liking you as much as they do." Hearing those words that seem to struck something to make her look away from him. "I can't believe there are guys like you really around, I'm going be jealous when you get yourself a girlfriend." Jeremy thought about what she said to him, getting quiet until he finally spoke. "You won't have to be jealous than, be my girlfriend." As she watch him to make sure of what she heard. "You better not break my heart Jeremy cause I'll kick your ass." She squeeze his hand as he use the other to grab a hold of his phone to look at the time. "I got to leave! You did say your parent show up around this time, I'll you tomorrow." He went to her door to leave as she follow behind.
"Bye Jeremy." He turn to her as he took in her details to ingrain in his memory. "Bye." As he quickly went down stairs, leaving from the same gate he use to enter. Jeremy really never expecting in his lifetime to have a girlfriend. 'This is my first, I forgot to get her number. I think I got her as a friend online.' A increase of footsteps from behind him caught his attention. "What the fuck I tell you pussy ass bitch." Jeremy didn't get a chance to turn around, he knew it was Stone voice, his feet trying to move faster to make an escape.
