- zayn and harry met before being put into the band. zayn thought harry was cute and approached him immediately!

- harry was definitely shy. he's never had someone as handsome as zayn flirt with him. ultimately he was flattered, but he thought it was too good to be true. our poor young harry was very insecure

- when they were formed into one direction, zayn continued to flirt with harry. he got to know him more during their time in the x-factor. they started off as friends

- when they lost they both thought it was over. they'd go back to being strangers. both zayn and harry hated that. until they were officially offered a record deal

- they were so close that when they had a performance, they shared a room. nothing happened for awhile. until one night zayn finally kissed him. harry felt like the happiest he's ever been

- they made it official in 2012. zayn still shakes his head at himself at how long he took to finally ask harry to be his boyfriend

- after a year of dating, zayn gave harry a promise ring. he swore he'd marry him someday. harry has never felt so loved

- in 2015, harry supported zayn decision to leave the band. he understood why. over the last few years he'd noticed changes in zayn. he wasn't himself. harry wanted his boyfriend to be happy. if leaving one direction made him happy, he would stand beside him

- zayn leaving caused a divide between the other four boys. liam and louis felt betrayed. they couldn't believe he would just leave in the middle of the tour. niall was just cool. he knew zayn was struggling. he respected him for leaving. harry kept defending his boyfriend from the other two. constantly telling them they had no idea how much this was hard on zayn

- this caused them to decide to split up. calling it a 'hiatus' because they didn't wanna believe it themselves. they all hoped maybe they'd get their shit together and be able to get back together sometime in the future

- zayn and harry ended up breaking up in 2016. their schedules didn't align with each other and the long distance got hard

- zayn ends things with gigi immediately after hearing the album

- the ex couple run into each other two months later. they hook up but decided it was for the best they didn't get back together

- harry finds out he's pregnant

- zayn and harry's first born daughter, belle gracie styles malik. born may 3rd, 2018

- zayn and harry kept their daughter out of the spotlight. the world still didn't know they dated! not because they were ashamed, because they didn't want anyone knowing too much about their personal lives. af far as the world knows (thinks) they haven't been in the same room since 2015

- zayn and harry tried to date once more. the relationship wasn't toxic before hand. but the two had changed a lot over the years. and with being parents, it wasn't easy. ultimately breaking up. zayn ended up releasing icarus falls late because of the constant fighting, constant arguing, constant cursing one another out

- icarus falls released december 14th, 2018

- harry stays in japan to work on his 2nd studio album
