*Eight years ago, First person POV*

A/n- music chapter! I'll tell you when to play the song!

I walked down the square, my brother in tow. He stared at the shop displays till we came to a radio shop. He looked mesmerized. I chuckled and tapped his shoulder to get his attention.

"Do you like the radio?" I signed to him.

"Yeah, I can feel the music." He replies, turning back to the window.

"Well then. Should we get one for Mother?" I asked pulling the poor boy inside. "Which one do you suggest we get?"

Jake's eyes lit up in excitement. He then walked around the store with a little pep in his step. He suddenly halted which made me bump into him slightly. He tapped my chest and then pointed to a beautiful wood radio with gold trim.

"This one?" I ask.

"Yes. Please, (Y/N)??" He desperately looked at me.

Dang it. This boy will be the reason I go broke one day. I say to myself and pick it up. I love my brother, him being my little sibling. Except for Molly and Anthony of course.

(Dove: Yes, you are Angel's sister. Amazing right?? Oh and were just gonna ignore Angel's other brother, K?)

I walk up to the counter and the cashier greets me and Jake.

"Hello! Did you find everything alright?" She says bubbly.

"Yes, we did." I reply, while also signing it to Jake so he could be in the conversation.

Jake signs back to me, "Ask her if she can teach us how to use it."

"Smart boy." I declared back ruffling his hair. "Miss? Could you teach us how to use this. We haven't ever seen one of these." I say pulling out my coin purse.

"Of course, sweetie!" She exclaims "And you too handsome." She pronounces to Jake.

"She said, And you too handsome." I mention to my sibling.

Jake then signs back a grateful "Thank you!"

"He says thank you." I say putting some coins on the counter.

"Oh? Is he perhaps deaf? I didn't notice. I've never seen a deaf child." She utters intrigued.

"Yes, since birth." I speak to the Lady.

The cashier then explained how to use it, and with a happy "Thanks!" We left the shop. When we got home we set it up on the porch.

"Wow (Y/N), Radios are cool." Jake states.

"Yes I agree." I sign back.

Then my favorite song starts to play. I hum along and sway, and soon enough I'm singing. The people walking on the sidewalk smile at my singing and continue on their way. Except for one. A 'plump' man who was bald, stayed and listened to me. Once the song was done he got my attention by calling out to me.

"Miss? I'm sorry to intrude." He started.

Startled, I turned around and said,

"Oh- I'm sorry I didn't see you! Of course not. What can I help you with?" I say walking over to our gate.

"My name is Johnson McCoy, it's a pleasure." He holds out his hand and I take it.

"(Y/N) (L/N), pleasure is all mine sir." I remark.

"I'm a manger for entertainers. I was listening and you have a beautiful voice. I was wondering if you would want a job?"

"Oh my, sir thank you but-" I start,
