Victoria's First Day

The hospital room was filled with quiet excitement as Colby stood next to Valerie, who cradled their newborn daughter, Victoria. Her tiny face was peaceful, her eyes closed as she slept soundly in her mother's arms. Colby leaned down and kissed Valerie on the forehead, his heart full of pride and love for their growing family.

Across the room, Xavier and Xander stood close together, both wide-eyed and curious as they looked at their new sister. Valerie smiled at them, motioning for them to come closer.

"Boys, come meet your baby sister," Valerie said softly.

Xander took a few cautious steps forward, his eyes flicking from Valerie to Victoria. Xavier followed, gripping Xander's hand for support. They both stood at the edge of the bed, staring at the tiny baby wrapped in a soft pink blanket.

"She's so small," Xander whispered, his voice full of wonder.

Colby chuckled, nodding. "Yeah, she is. But she's strong, just like your mom."

Xavier tilted his head, his four-year-old mind trying to understand everything. "What's her name again?"

Valerie smiled, her eyes sparkling. "Her name is Victoria. Just like you and Xander, she's part of our family now."

Xander leaned closer, his face inches from his baby sister's. "Hi, Victoria," he whispered. "I'm Xander, your big brother."

Xavier, not wanting to be left out, chimed in. "And I'm Xavier! I'm your brother too!"

Valerie's heart melted at the sight of her boys welcoming their sister. She gently reached out, pulling Xander and Xavier closer, so they could see Victoria better. "You're both going to be great big brothers," she said softly. "She's going to love having you both to look up to."

Xander beamed. "I'll teach her how to build Legos!"

"And I'll share my toys with her," Xavier added eagerly.

Colby smiled at their enthusiasm, his hand resting on Valerie's shoulder as they all gathered around their newest addition. "Victoria's lucky to have such amazing brothers."

Victoria stirred slightly in Valerie's arms, her tiny fingers curling up. Xavier gasped, his eyes wide. "She moved!"

Valerie laughed softly. "She's just waking up a little. Babies do that a lot."

Xander reached out, his hand hovering above Victoria's blanket. "Can I hold her?"

Valerie nodded. "Of course. Let's sit you down first."

With Colby's help, Xander climbed up onto a chair next to the bed. Valerie gently placed Victoria in his arms, showing him how to support her tiny head. Xander's face was serious as he carefully held his baby sister, his heart swelling with pride. Xavier leaned in close, watching every move with fascination.

"Hi, Victoria," Xander whispered again, softer this time.

Colby wrapped his arm around Valerie, both of them watching their children bond for the first time. Their hearts were full, knowing that Victoria had already found her place in their family—a family that would always be there for her.
