The next day, Taehyung and Jungkook arrived at the movie set again. Jungkook immediately got absorbed in his work, filming scenes while Taehyung settled onto the sofa, making himself comfortable. As he lounged, his mind started drifting, searching for a way to get under Jungkook’s skin and force him to snap. So far, all his attempts to irritate Jungkook had only amused the man, and Taehyung was growing more frustrated by the day.
While lost in thought, Taehyung’s attention was pulled toward a group of staff members standing near a large pile of intricately designed clothes. He overheard their conversation---something about how these clothes were specially designed for the movie and how expensive they were. One of them mentioned that each costume had been custom-made to fit Jungkook’s character, costing a small fortune in the process.
A mischievous smirk slowly spread across Taehyung's face. An idea started forming in his mind---an idea that could finally push Jungkook to the edge.
Burn them.
The thought was deliciously tempting. Jungkook was always so calm, so in control. What better way to provoke him than to destroy something irreplaceable, something tied to his current project? Those custom-made clothes were practically screaming to be set aflame, and Taehyung could already imagine the chaos that would follow.
His fingers itched with the thought of starting the fire, of watching the flames consume the pristine fabrics while Jungkook finally snapped, unable to maintain that indifferent facade.
Taehyung glanced around the set, making sure no one was paying him too much attention. The staff were busy with their duties, and Jungkook was still on set, shooting an emotional scene. The opportunity was perfect.
Getting up from the sofa, Taehyung slowly made his way toward the bundle of clothes, his heart racing with anticipation.
The flames danced wildly, consuming the delicate fabrics with a ravenous hunger, the expensive costumes crumbling into ash before anyone could stop it. The smell of burnt cloth filled the air as smoke curled upward, catching the attention of the frantic crew. Taehyung stood nearby, his heart hammering in his chest. His wide eyes reflected the fire, a mixture of shock, guilt, and satisfaction battling inside him.
He hadn’t meant for it to go this far.
“FIRE!” one of the staff members screamed, scrambling to find an extinguisher. Chaos broke loose as people rushed to douse the flames, their frantic efforts barely slowing the destruction
Shouts erupted from the staff as they rushed to extinguish the flames, but it was too late. The beautifully designed costumes, essential for the film, were reduced to nothing more than smoldering remains. The room was a mixture of panic and fury, people staring at the ruined pile of fabric, their faces pale with horror.
“What happened?!” one of the designers screamed, rushing forward to inspect the damage. “These are irreplaceable! Do you know how long we worked on these?!”
The accusations started immediately, with fingers pointing toward Taehyung. “It was him!” one of the assistants shouted. “He’s been nothing but trouble since he got here, and now this! He’s ruined everything!”
Taehyung flinched at the hostility directed his way, but he didn’t back down. He wanted Jungkook to pay. He wanted to see him snap, to finally lose that infuriating control. But as he watched the destruction unfold, guilt began to gnaw at him. He hadn’t expected this much chaos.
“Do you know what this means?” another staff member shrieked, glaring at him. “We’re all going to lose our jobs because of you! The film’s already been delayed because of your marriage, and now this? We’re done for!”
