A girl named Khushi is sitting in her room balcony, wondering how her life is changed from the day her parents died in an accident. That day she not only lost her parents, but also herself. She used to be a girl who is intelligent and mature than other kids compared to her age. But that accident of her parents left her in a state where she accused herself to the death of parents. She loved her parents more than anything where she can do anything for them.
She is now married to Arnav, a cold, rude CEO of "AA" company who loves her but hides his feelings from everyone. He acts like he doesn't care but deep inside he feels sad for her as he is not able to value, respect and cherish her with his love. Their marriage is a contract marriage as Arnav's family pushes him to marry someone as soon as possible.

Arnav has an older sister named Amrutha, two cousins Rohan and Krishna. His parents also died in a car accident and leaves with his mother's family. Krishna is close to Khushi as he is a friendly, energetic guy. Rohan is a shy type of guy who is already married to Khushi's elder sister Raagavi. Amrutha is also married but her husband Sandeep died in a car accident.
Khushi was adopted by her mother's sister Kamala. Kamala and her husband Shashi invited Khushi to live with them and took care of her. They never ignored her and tried to fulfill her every wish as she asks seldom. Khushi never shares her queries with anyone and hides everything. But her parents and Raagavi knows that she does something behind their back but never ask her about it.
Arnav and Khushi share a bond as husband-and-wife in front of their family and friends but in their room, they are two strangers living under a roof. Khushi has a habit of making Gulab Jamun whenever she cannot control her feelings like anger, sorrow, happy etc., Arnav talks less and when he talks, he comes straight to the point.
