Chapter 22: Lies

Amelias POV

Well I was right about one thing Skeeter spread the rumors. When we saw the prophet I walked away immediately. On the front on a picture of me and the twins, Georges arm around my waist. Below was the picture Rita had  managed to get of me and Charlie. As I fled up the staircase I could feel the wet and salty tears running down my face. I ran into the Gryffindor common room trying to hide from everyone when the portrait was swung open.I looked up to see Harry staring down at me. I back down at the floor, my eyes full of unshed tears. I hear Harry shuffle around then crouch down beside me.

" Amelia I know that you're not dating the twins , you don't see each other that way. But I have to ask is that picture of you and Charlie real?"Harry says with  skepticism in his voice.

I look back at him and sigh." Yes me and Charlie have been dating for a few months. I'm sorry I did not tell you the only people who really knew were Ginny the twins and Molly. But I'm sure Hermione somehow found out. She should be in Ravenclaw you know or hang out with others. Not you and Ron y'all are dumbasses.." I say the last part with a slight smile on my face.

 Harry hits me in the head " Hey I'm not that dumb. Plus Hermione just reads a lot." Harry said trying to defend himself.

" Yeah sure whatever floats your boat." I say smiling. I get another wack to the head.

" What does float your boat mean?" says a voice I know all to well and so does Harry.

" Muggle term Ron." We say at the same time. We all look at each other then break down laughing

" What's with all of this laughing?" Two new voices join us. I look up at the twins and go to hug them.

" I so sorry about the stupid Prophet I should have been more careful." I tell the pair of idiots in front of me.

" Its fine now the whole world knows you are dating -" started fred

"the best pair of twins-" continued George

" In the universe" They finish together.

" I'm not dating you dimbos im dating your brother. You cant go around saying that people are going to think that I'm actually dating your two then Charlie will kill us all.." I tell Fred and George " And for you to know I still like the Stoll brothers better than you two." I say I get a gasp out of the twins.

" How dare you. You think Camp Half blood is better than us. You always compare us to your friends there." Fred says. George just nods a long.

" I'm joking but sometimes you both get on my nerves. " I see Hermione walk in looking frantic. " Hermione what's wrong?" I question the girl pulling her into a hug.

" Did anyone read the whole prophet?" She asked us all. Everyone shakes their heads. " Well deeper in the page there was another article not just Amelia and Charlie but me and Harry." I look between the two and Harry spills.

" This is what I wanted to talk about the Rita thing. She got a picture of you and Charlie but she also got one of me and Hermione. We aren't dating or anything but Hermione was so scared for me she gave me a hug. Skeeter got the picture and put it in the article but later in it. She must have thought you were more important." Harry finishes. It all made sense Harry and Hermione both being awkward after the task.

" Oh well that makes sense. Also I know why she put me and Charlie and the twins on the front page. I might have pissed her off in the interview before the task so she was looking for somthing to put against me. Even though everyone can vouch for me and the Twins. We don't like each other that way and we do that every day so it's not true at all." Everyone nods at my statement.

" Well shall we go do damage control because this is getting out of hand right now."  Lee says . When did he get here?

" Yeah lets go do damage control, Hermione you are coming with us right"" I ask after realizing that she was the only one that had not moved toward the portrait.

" No I'm going to go try to find Skeeter to give her a piece of my mind." Hermione looks mad and she never does.

" want me to come I know how to fight. and kill if you truly need it." I say trying to cheer the girl up. She laughs and nods. I walk after her and we go the other way from the others. Lets go catch this bitch.

Hey so this is short but the highschool has homecoming and I needed to hurry. I am so sorry for how long it has taken me to update this I have been so busy. also thank you all for 1.1k reads that was crazy just seeing that one morning. It has been brought to my attention by @AZravenclaw1373  just how bad my first few chapters are and how poorly I worded them. I am so sorry for that I will try to edit them soon because I don't want it to be how it is. It was my fault a si had no idea where to go with the story at the time. But I will try to edit them soon.  Also I am writing a suspense novel for my English class and it is so much better written than this story XD when I finish it I'm going to post it here so wait for that. Ok bye bye for now
