Hikaru PoV

The venue was full of Ai's fans in waiting. As expected for someone who makes her debut at the famous dome, every performer's dream. But it was oh so terribly loud. Though that can be the least of my concerns right now, since I'm standing in front of the woman who takes care of Ruby and Aqua whenever Ai is doing business.

" It's nice to meet you. I'm Kamiki. " I try to smile and extend my hand, she eyes me carefully before promptly nodding and returning my introduction. " Saitou Miyako. So you're the father? "

'Father'... the role is still so foreign to me.

" Yes, " I affirm, but I accidentally let slip of my hesitation in tone. She raises a brow, clearing picking that up. I try to brush it off. " I heard from Ai that whenever she's performing or in practice, you're the one taking care of Aqua and Ruby. I would just like to thank you for that. "

" Hm. " She acknowledges my words but I could tell she was the least bit interested about me and more so focused on the two kids standing beside me. " Ai asked me to let the kids stay with you. And as much as I'd like to argue against it; I won't. But I'll be around the area keeping a good eye on you from afar. Are we clear? " Her voice sounded protective, almost just as motherly in addressing as Ai's.

" Of course, " I respond coolly, looking down to Aqua and Ruby. " Let's head to our seats now kids. And remember to keep it on the down low. " It's important to remind them not to give any eavesdropping ears the idea that they might be Ai's children. Otherwise, bad things could happen.

Ruby rolls her eyes before turning her head away from me pompously. " No need to tell us! We already know. " She really doesn't seem to like me. I sigh, holding onto the hope that she can at least maintain a cooperative behaviour for the evening. Aqua looks up at me, and I could spot some pity. " We understand the risks, Kamiki-san. We'll behave. " Between the two, I could appreciate the fact he seems to be the more mature one. But it is weird for him to be this mature at the age of four.

We'd better get going. Wouldn't want to get stuck in the bodies of traffic. Besides, it's been too long since I've last went to one of her performances.
