You only need the light when it's burning low,
only miss the sun when it starts to snow.

You held the volleyball in your hand again, tapped it on the ground twice, and felt that familiar sensation in your palm.
Silently, you looked at the group of strong players staring you down, and blinked.
Being stared at by a bunch of tall, fierce guys... to be honest, it's kind of... well, ahem.
You shook off the random thoughts and focused on the volleyball in front of you.
"Beep—" The whistle blew, and you could see everyone's bodies tensing up from the corner of your eye. You sighed internally.
There's really no need to be so on edge about a small player like me.
You tossed the volleyball up slowly, feeling everyone's eyes on you. In your eyes, there was only the shadow of the volleyball. You could clearly sense that all attention was either on you or the ball.
Being the center of attention like this... it's pretty cool.
"Bang!!"
The sound of the serve echoed, and a gust of wind brushed Bishin's face. He was briefly stunned but quickly snapped back to reality. This time, he was much more focused than before, and his impression of you shifted.
You weren't just like Ushijima, nor could you be pinned down as a flexible player. You could unleash a powerful serve, but also switch to a light, tricky one when the opponent was fully prepared, catching them off guard.
He clenched his teeth.
'This guy...!'
"Bang!"
Commentor A: "He did it! Bishin received Dynamite's serve! Can he stop this devilish dominance?" His excited voice echoed in the ears of every spectator.
Commentor B: "Yes, it's Shiratorizawa's chance ball!"
"Sorry!" Bishin quickly apologized, but no one could blame him for catching that tricky ball. Besides, Kiryu isn't the type to blame his teammates for every mistake.
He takes responsibility for everything himself. In a way, he's like an angelic version of Kageyama Tobio.
By the way, Kageyama is definitely the demon.
Shirabu focused intently on the volleyball soaring high over the net. His eyes scanned his teammates and landed on Ushijima, who had a determined look. Shirabu made a quick decision—
Snap.
Swoosh—
Bang!! The volleyball zipped past Unnan's ear, sending a gust of wind that made his hair fly.
His expression froze, and he instinctively tilted his head the other way. The volleyball landed behind him. He covered his ears, trying to block out the echoing sound, and glared fiercely at Ushijima on the other side.
"Ala~ Wakatoshi-kun, be a little more careful next time. Don't hurt the other players~!" Tendou's voice chimed in, and Ushijima looked at Unnan seriously and said in a deep voice:
"Sorry."
Shirabu couldn't stand seeing Tendou start to "bully" the opposing players again. Was it just his imagination, or did it seem like your teasing had become more restrained lately? Of course, that's just in words—your skills on the court were as sharp as ever.
Just as Shirabu was feeling pleased that you'd matured a bit, you walked by to grab the ball, and the bad feeling he had turned out to be right. Usuri, on the opposite side, flashed you a bright smile and said in a sunny tone, "Your serve is so powerful~ I just wonder how many more—"
