False
"False?" she heard someone whisper in her ear. They tapped lightly on her shoulder, startling her awake from her half awake stuper.
False sat bolt upright, looking to find Ren sitting next to her.
"False?" he asked again, raising an eyebrow.
"Sorry, what's happening?" she asked, rubbing her eyes.
"We were gonna play Uno, remember?" Ren replied.
"Oh yeah, right, sorry."
"Don't worry about it. So, ready to play?"
She paused, trying to process what he asked, then responding, "Yeah. Let's get started."
Ren grabbed the deck and started to shuffle, the cards making a pleasant whooshing noise. "False, have you been getting enough sleep?"
False shrugged and answered, "Eh. Not really. I've been having a hard time falling asleep lately."
"Well, that's not good. Any particular reason?"
She shrugged again. "Nothing, honestly, or at least nothing real. I keep having really bad bouts of paranoia at night."
"Do you want to talk about it?" Ren asked as he dealt out the cards.
"Yeah, that'd be nice," she said, sighing and leaning back in her chair, "They started I think due to Demise 2. I was just always on the lookout and now my brain won't let go of it. It's like a constant voice telling me that someone's going to hurt me and it keeps me awake."
Ren's eyebrows furrowed. "Are you safe? Do you need X to check anything?"
"No, it's fine. It's not real, I know that, but I just...devs, I don't know. I'm sure the sleep deprivation from it isn't improving anything."
"I don't know if it would help, but you're welcome to stay with me," Ren offered.
"That would be amazing. Thank you!" False replied.
"Of course!" Ren scooped up his hand, examining it like a professor reading a math problem, "Now, are you ready to lose at Uno?"
