3rd person POV

There he was, sitting with his legs crossed, sipping his drink. He saw his daughter walking past him, he had to make a decision, he had to make his daughter's life better. That's when he thought.
"Rachel" Edward yelled, wanting her to be here this second. "Why the hell are you telling? It's literally early in the morning"
Rachel screeched. "William is no more"
Rachel couldn't understand "William who?"
"William Sea Sumet" "What? You're kidding me, right?" "Look at the TV" Rachel was shocked at what she heard. "Edward, we need to go and meet them. It's been years and look what happened, I think it's time we go and comfort them" Edward nodded.

Edward saw his daughter coming out.
"Samantha, pack your things for a whole month" Samantha stopped walking "Why? What happened, where are we going?"
"To Bangkok" Rachel said. Samantha just nodded and walked away without asking anything further.

SAMANTHA's POV

Something must have definitely happened. Literally, all of a sudden to Thailand? For a month? Unusual as hell.
I packed my bags and we headed directly to the airport, and then to our private plane. Something is not right. No words came out of anyone. Everyone in their own world. I decided to talk. "Mom, is there a particular reason why we are heading to Thailand, that too out of the blue?" I whispered not wanting dad to hear our conversation. "We are visiting aunt Lily" "Who's that?" Obviously, I didn't know who she was. "She's William Sumet's wife. William was your dad's best friend and Lily is my best friend. We four studied in the same high school and university. Later, we all realised that we had to stay like this forever and ever since then we're all together. But between Edward and me, we never dated. I'm sorry for telling you this now but I was with Edward all his life. I was never new to him. He had to marry your mom because his parents forced him. Later after she left him, you were still very young, 2 years old and I knew I had to take care of you and we decided to marry eachother. Just so you know, we were considered as high school sweethearts even though we never dated. Lily and William on the other side, they lived their best life, marrying the person she loves. They had kids too. Jimmy and Olivia. We're going to them now."
Yes, shocked as hell, you closed your mouth which was open for a while.
"omg mommmmmm, this is actually so cuteeeee and why are you telling this to me now?"
"Sshh, calm down, your dad's going to be upset with you again, I'll tell you the actual reason why we are going"
"Sorry" I apologized and leaned so that she can whisper about the reason why we're visiting Thailand. "William uncle is no more, love. We're going there to pay our last respects to him. Lily's husband is no more."
I just sat back. Just staring at mom. What the hell? I thought. "Will aunt and recognise me?" "Yes she will. She definitely will.....either way you're going to be her daughter in law." Rachel said the last sentence slowly in a mumbled manner, hoping Samantha wouldn't understand.
"What? You just mumbled something mom". "N-nothing, dad's crying, why don't you comfort him sweetheart?".
I looked at dad. His eyes filled with tears, his face, facing the window and hoping no one would see him crying. I go towards him, sit beside him and side hug him.
"Dad, I know it's not okay to lose your best friend who you've known for years but you should know he's in a better place now. Please don't cry. I understand how you feel but he's gone now, he's not coming back. His memories are the only thing you should hold on to now." I said, my eyes tearing up too. For the first time, I've seen my dad cry. I've never hugged him like this ever before. "You've grown up to be a beautiful woman, Samantha. I'm so glad to have you here as my daughter." My dad said all of a sudden. He hugged you too, kisses you on your forehead. You were shocked to see this side of dad. After 8 or more years. It's been so long since dad has been affectionate. Thanks William uncle. I just know you played an important role in my dad's life. You'll forever be missed. I kissed him on his cheek and put a blanket on him " For now, rest and think about all the good memories you had with him, I'll wake you up when we reach" he nodded and closed his eyes. I turn back to see my mom, her eyes filled with tears too. "I love you mom" "I love you too my baby"
She said and I held onto her hands and rubbed her knuckles with my thumbs
"You should also know he's in a better place now" "I know" She said and kissed my forehead. "Now take some ready okay?" I said to my mom, she nodded and drifted to sleep.
I couldn't sleep as I wanted to know more about them. I took out my laptop and types in *William Sea Sumet*
Tons of news flooded about him being deceased. I went to his information and read and it said "Thailand's Number one company's CEO no more." "William Sea Sumet dead at 54" "CEO of Thailand's no 1 company no more" that's when I realised he was a businessman. Thailand's biggest business man. As I was curious to see who his 2 kids and aunt lily looked, I went to their socials. "Jimmysumetsea" was the son's username. I clicked on it and scrolled to see how he looked. *His eyes that were dark brown felt like glory, his face as bright as the sun and his smile like the ocean*
This is what went on in your mind.
As you were looking at him you felt like you've seen him somewhere. His face, I've seen it SOMEWHERE. I thought and leaned on to the back rest and closed my eyes. After a few minutes of thinking, I suddenly open my eyes and there we go, I knew who he was. The same guy who I ran into while it was raining. The same guy I said I hated. The same guy who saved me from falling down. The same guy who I thought his eyes felt like glory. The same guy who I saw 3 years back, I'm literally going to see him now. As shocked as I was, I closed my laptop and that's when I know, I'll be contemplating life for the next few months. Such a small world we live in, right?
