Chapter One  - Nightmares 

RAIN had hammered against the windows of the Cullen home it brought a much-needed relief against the humid summer air that Forks had unexpectedly encountered. A new moon had brought relaxation to the ever-awake home. Nova was the only one sleeping but it was as peaceful as a house full of teenage vampires could be. Carlisle's pen scratched across the paper as he worked, Nova sleeping in the large comfy bed. The scars of her father's encounter had disappeared but Carlisle worried about her mental state. Edward couldn't get a read on her and Alice couldn't see her. If the vampire were human then surely he'd be grey by now. The vampire in question let out a long sigh as he paused in his writing. His golden eyes danced over to Nova's covered form, she looked like an angel, with her hair sprayed across the pillow like a halo, and her pale face relaxed for the first time in the last few weeks. It had been hard for them, Nova especially; Emmett's hoodie hadn't been returned to the owner, and Nova resorted to curling into it often. 

"I am hoping Bella's party will distract her" Came Alice's voice from the dining room. The good thing about vampire hearing is that Carlisle could have a conversation without even leaving his room. 

"It will be good for her" Rosalie agreed from the Garage. She was currently fixing Nova's birthday Present - a Chevy Impala which the blonde was restoring from scratch. 

"Hasn't Ma's birthday already gone?..oh come on you FUCKER"  Emmett's shouts had cut off whatever Jasper was going to comment as the pair played their game. Carlisle rolled his eyes at his son's antics, they fell on to Nova who had begun to wriggle and moan in her sleep. Using his speed he headed to her quickly soothing her, he stroked her hair as she whimpered 

"Whatever you do" Carlisle commented with a soft sigh "I hope it helps her" The Children had agreed, singing Nova in this much pain had made them feel things they hadn't even felt in a very long time - it had made them feel human. 

Whatever Nova was dreaming about Carlisle couldn't know as Edward, their mindreader was at his human's house; it was where the teenage vampire had spent most of his summer; Avoiding Nova as she now worked permanently from their home in Forks. Nova had quit her job at the MACUSA - choosing to concentrate on her businesses back in London. She often spent most of her time Flooing to and from the offices in the city. 

Draco and Harry had mended and rebuilt her home in Forks and Nova had sold it for a very good profit and placed the money into repairing the Malfoy name and giving themselves a charitable reputation over in the states. Harry and Draco had returned to London upon the request of the Ministry of Magic there when they realised once again that Lucius Malfoy had escaped; Nova called the Ministry incompetent twats in an explosive argument between her and an officer of the ministry and it had become Emmett's favourite insult - which he used almost on a daily bases. It had been one long summer for the Cullens and Carlisle for once couldn't wait for his sons and daughters to go back to school. 

Nova had let out a whimper once more just as his bedroom door opened and Jasper had entered, Carlisle's cell phone in hand. 

"I've got ma, there's been an accident on the interstate, Hospital needs you" Carlisle sighed torn not for the first time as he peered at Nova, Carlisle nodded as Jasper approached, the vampire had bent down and kissed his girlfriend's head before sighing and retrieving the cell from Jasper. 

"This is Doctor Cullen...yes, okay...I am on my way...give me twenty minutes" Carlisle watched as JAsper leaned down on the bed, taking Nova's hand inside his own and stroking the knuckles. She seemed to be calm as Jasper sang to her in a thicker Southern accent. It wasn't the first time Jasper's singing voice had soothed Nova's it happened on accident the first time when Nova was playing Edwards Panio, a song from Jasper's human time and off instinct Jasper had begun to sing it; and the Cuellens discovered that their brother, husband and son could sing. 

Carlisle showered and changed listening to Jasper singing to Nova with Rosalie playing the tune in the background. he then begrudgingly headed into the heavy rain to his car and headed to the hospital.

NOVA had no idea that the night before she had a nightmare, she had woken feeling slightly groggy but that was the side effect of the potions she had taken twelve hours before.  However it hadn't stopped her from exiting her and Carlisle's now empty bedroom, her feet padding against the expensive carpet floor to search for coffee. her sleepwear consisted of red checked pants. and a plain back tee, her hair was messy and she groaned slightly as she pulled it into a messy bun as she entered the kitchen. Her eyes danced to the coffee machine behind her clear-framed spectacles. Sighing she rumbed her eyelids as she pressed the button and it rumbled to life. Grabbing a mug from the mug tree on the side she placed it under, just as it spluttered to life. 

"Merlin's beard Alice...don't do that" She called loudly. She held a hand to her chest hoping to calm her heavily beating heart as Alice stood smiling from the door frame, The tiny vampire smirked and danced into the kitchen. "Bloody vampires" Nova commented as she turned back around the scent of freshly brewed coffee filling the kitchen quickly. 

"Sorry" the vampire stated, even though the vampire didn't sound at all sorry, she just folded herself on the stool at the island that separated the witch and the smaller vampire. The said witch then headed to the other stool where she had made her brew how she liked it. "So I have to ask permission" The teen rolled her eyes, "Carlisle said I can't have one unless you agree 0 but I know you will -

"Alice just ask the damn question" Nova sighed out as she stopped the hyper vampire from going on one of her long-winded hyperactive rants. Alice sighed before bouncing inhumanly on her stool. 

"Please...Please ...Pleasecanwehaveapartyforbella" Nova raised her eyebrows at Alice's incoherent talking, the vampire spoke so fast that Nova missed the end of her question

"What?" the witch stated "Repeat that - but slower" She warned the vampire 

Alice let out a sigh "Can we please have a party for Bella?"  she asked a lot more calmly than before "It only be a small one - one that I'll only have a handful of people coming ...we haven't had a birthday party in ages" the vampire wined

"Didn't you have one?...it's where I first met your father?" Nova questioned voicing her thoughts. 

"See...Partys are good, but that was just to get you to meet Carlisle ... I was rather impatient but it all worked out" She danced with her hands as she spoke a smile on her face 

"I dont know, Bella doesn't seem the type to enjoy all the attention on her" Nova commented Alice's shoulders dropped as she saw the decision, and her visions kept flickering as Nova became more and more conflicted "But I suppose a family one would be nice" Alice's shoulders rose, her eyes sparking in excitement "keep it small, that way I dont have to hide Ares! and Just for us" Nova called out and let out a sigh as Alice bounced from the room with a wave. 

"Well, you've just made her day" Nova screamed as Carlisle chuckled from the large window

"Fucking vampires" Nova shouted as she jumped a mile in the air. "I am going to put bells on you all...seriously" Carlisle chuckled as he hugged his girlfriend - he sighed as he snuggled into her messy hair. 

"Carlisle" She wined "I haven't showered" Carlisle let out a smirk as an idea came to mind. 

"We can change that" he replied cheekily. Nova laughed as she was lifted and sped towards her and Carlisle's shower Her laughter echoed all around the house.

I did start with another book - had the title and everything - then realised I wouldn't have a matching title for books three and four! Anyway, so here it is the continuation of His English Rose! You all know the drill by now :)
