synopsis:
Kennedy Prep is known for it's prestigious and rigorous curriculum. Pupils admitted wholly on academic and extracurricular excellence and potential, Kennedy Prep is bound to be home to genuises and prodigies alike. However, with transcendence follows release, and the annual exclusive Boutade party is the key to just that for most students.
Loud, obnoxious, and splendidly gauche, the Boutade parties held on December 13th each year in a rustic yet remote warehouse in the outskirts of New York City, always bring the promise of a histrionic event sure to be the talk of the campus for the following weeks. After all, drama were all that the students lived by, an oath that painted their soul and claimed it. A story was a story. A death was just a death. Another lifeless body ripped of their ability to breathe. Just another poor unfortunate soul.
It was as if the entirety of Kennedy Prep had solemnly swore to never speak of that day again. December 13, 2021. Pupils at the scene of the crime swear they don't remember anything. Just the stench of beer sticking on the floor, and the metallic gleam of the mirrorball their very own kryptonite for the day. They swear they don't remember life itself exhaling from Gwendolyn Skywalker's body for the last time.
Emmaline Skywalker isn't so sure. How could she be when none of it adds up? What was her sister doing at a sketchy party, completely off kilter to the rule abiding, sweet persona everyone knew and loved? No, Emmaline refused to believe her sister's death was just that-another statistic who will remain forever young. Regardless of the consequences she would be sure to face and the internal politics of Kennedy Prep, Emmaline was hell bent on excavating the truth about her sister.
Best believe it was time she gave Death a fatal kiss of her own.

hi! oh my god, if starting new books and never finishing writing them was a crime, id be detained for LIFEEE. I'm actually really really excited for this one though because unlike every other wip I've ever had, i actually really thought this one out and i love the character dynamics and i hope you will too !
other than that, this is not really a mature book, but there is swearing and mentions of: eating disorders, drug usage, suicide, death, physical and emotional abuse, psychosis, bullying, and there are mild sexual scenes but nothing too explicit.
(I'm aware this sounds mature, but im sure its nothing new to wattpad users! but please do pay attention to these tw and ill mention them on each chapter, so if you have even the slightest doubt you'll be affected, please skip the chapter.)
