Natasha's POV
1 year later...
I don't know what's wrong.
But I've been feeling sick in the morning for a few days.
I'm not sure if I should consult the doctor.
"Sweetheart?" Siddharth entered the room with a soup bowl in a tray.
"How are you feeling?" He asked placing the tray on the bedside table and checking my temperature by putting his hand on my forehead.
"Good," I said with a small smile.
"Feeling nauseous again?" I shook my head.
"Not yet"
He hummed.
Grabbing the soup bowl from the table he extended one scoop towards me, "Eat something, you might feel better"
After eating for a while, I felt nauseous, again.
I gestured for him to stop feeding me and sit quietly.
"What's wrong love?" He asked frowning a bit.
I covered my mouth with my hand and ran toward the bathroom, I slammed open the door and vomited again on the sink.
Siddharth was behind me patting my back and holding my hair back.
I turned on the tap water and washed my face.
Wiping my face with the towel I looked at him.
"Are you okay?" I nodded and he pulled me into a tight embrace.
"I think we should see the doctor, You vomit every time you eat something, It's not good" He suggested.
"Hmm, I guess you're right" I agreed.
"Let's go to the doctor, now"
"Now?" I looked up at him.
"Hmm yeah, Now, It's 11 in the morning, not too late right?" I nodded at his statement.
Time skips...
The female doctor sitting in front of us was going through the tests and reports.
She took off her glasses and smiled at us.
"Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Malhotra! You are about to become parents!"
Hearing that I was so shocked and happy, I looked at Siddharth and he was dumbfounded.
He looked at me, But, he did not seem happy.
Why?
"It's twins" The lady doctor announced again.
"What?" I looked at her in shock, "Twins?"
"Yes twins" She smiled, "I am a gynecologist, you guys can consult me anytime, feel free to reach out to me if anything happens, here is my card" She extended her card towards us with a smile.
Siddharth took it and smiled a little, "Thank you"
After that we exited her clinic, I was happy but sad at the same time, Siddharth didn't seem happy.
I placed a hand on my stomach lost in thoughts.
While we walked through the empty hallway Suddenly someone picked me up causing me to gasp.
"Sid-"
"We are going to be parents We are going to be parents, Yay!" He spun me around happily.
I was happy too.
"Yes yes"
"I am so happy, love, I love you so so so much" Saying that he started kissing me all over my face causing me to giggle.
"But, why were you not happy when the doctor announced that I was pregnant?" I asked and he stopped spinning me.
He sighed, "I just, you know sweetheart I'm nice with you only, I can't show my personality to everyone, or else I'll lose my 'Cold, rude, ruthless' tag" He explained and I laughed.
"You're so weird" He kissed my cheek before placing me down
"Let's go home, shall we?" I nodded.
At Night
I was sitting on the bed lost deep into thoughts.
I...I really don't know if I'm ready to be a mom, that too of twins.
I am not sure.
Siddharth was showering, he had a habit of showering every night before sleeping.
I can't help but stress about these things, even though I don't want to.
I don't know what to do.
I lie down on the bed curling up as it's my comfort position.
The sound of the door opening echoed as Siddharth came out wearing his shorts and nothing else, I looked at him without getting up from my position.
He smiled, "Hey sweetie" I smiled back, forcefully.
He frowned sensing something was wrong, "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked sitting near my legs gently massaging them.
"I...I don't feel good" He frowned more hearing that.
"What? What happened?" He asked worried.
"I... I'm not sure"
"Huh"
"I'm not sure if I'm ready to be a mom"
"Oh sweetie" He made me sit up and pulled me onto his lap holding me close to his chest.
"You'll be an amazing mother for both of our children," He kissed the top of my head.
"Don't overthink and just relax, I'll be with you on every step of this journey, I'm with you forever" Hearing that I hugged him tighter.
"Thank you" I whisper closing my eyes.
