Douglas awoke the next morning at the bridge and looked sadly down at his buffers.
"I guess today is gonna be another day of jist siting hear," Said the Scot.
Douglas sat at the bridge for the rest of the morning, he finally stopped what he was doing when his crew walked toward him.
"Anything new Douglas?" Asked the driver.
"No, I'm losing hope in everyone's survival, anything new with you?" Asked the sad Scot.
"Met some new people and tried the new pizza," Said the fireman.
Before Douglas could say anything to his crew, he heard cuffing from engines on Sodor.
"DONNIE, IS THAT YOU?!" Cried Douglas.
"Sorry Douglas, It's Me, Arthur, i'm with Henry to,"
"Thank God you two are alright," Said Douglas as he started to loose his voice oh happiness.
"It's good to see you Douglas, we should have thought of this sooner," Said Henry.
Once Douglas got his voice back, he asked what he thought was the most important question.
"Is Donald alive?"
Henry and Arthur looked down at their buffers, not knowing what to say. Douglas couldn't see their expression as the bridge was up, but he could tell something was wrong.
"Donnie is dead, I'm I right?" Asked Douglas, who wanted to be wrong, but since the purge had started, he thought about the possibility of death or his twin.
"He's dead," Henry finally said.
"We are here for Douglas, it will be okay," Said Arthur.
"Thank you two, I'd ask you two to leave me alone, but since I haven't talked to a Sodor engine I've seen in days, please stay,"
"Alright Douglas, do you want to hear our stories?" Said Henry.
"Before that, can you both please tell me which engines are dead, I want to know who's dead,"
"As far as we know, Edward, Gordon, James, Toby, Duck, Donald, Bill, Diesel, Arry, Bert, Diesel 10, Derek, Bear, Fergus, Emily, Becca, Coral, several people, and all the narrow gauge engines but Sir Handel and Bertram, and several people," Said Arthur.
"Oh God, two many engines lost," Said the Scot.
"Thankfully some other engines survived. We were at the Ironworks with BoCo and Salty, but we wanted to come see if you were here, while they stayed behind," Henry said.
"Can you please tell me which other engines you know are alive?" Asked Douglas.
"Thomas, Percy, Oliver, Daisy, Mavis, Harvey, Murdoch, Annie, Clarabel, Henrietta, Toad and probably several more people," Said Henry.
"Thankfully they stay alive, can ye please tell me ye stories now?"
"Alright,"
And so, Henry and Arthur did their best to tell the Scot their story, once they were finished, Douglas spoke.
"Well, that's alot. I feel sorry for everyone but Arry, Bert and Diesel 10, hope their rotting," Said a now angry Douglas.
"Me two, Duck, Emily and several more people would be alive if they were just like us in this purge," Said Henry.
"Lets not forget the purgers going around killing everyone," Added Arthur.
"Aye,"
Henry, Arthur and Douglas stayed together for a few more hours, talking and laughing like friends should. When it started to get dark, Henry and Arthur went back to The Ironworks to tell the diesels about Douglas. Meanwhile Douglas decided to spend the night at Barrow, instead of infront of the bridge. Though we was not on Sodor, he still wondered what the rest of the purge would bring for the rest of his friends.
