Reckless Love

Chapter Two*Hospital

I wake up in a hospital bed with an IV stuck in my arm I try to sit up but the pain in my gut stops me

wait where am I? I start to panic no no he took me to the hospital I thought I told him no

I attempt to get out of the bed but end up falling out of it instead

damn I can't walk I start to crawl towards the door I have to find him

just then the door opens and what I assume is a doctor comes in

what are you doing on the floor you need to be in bed he says as he helps pick me up

I try to push him away no no leave me alone I'm not strong enough and he picks me up and puts me back on the bed

Miss Lynn you need to calm down you are severely wounded and need rest

where is he where is Damian i said to him frantically. the doctor pulls up a chair and sits down he lets out a deep breath I'm sorry but I've been told not to tell you just know that he's okay for now

why can't you tell me I don't believe you I try to get out of bed again but I can't my body is just too weak

Miss Lynn the doctor raises his voice and says if you don't stop trying to get out of bed we will have to take drastic measures to keeping you here

I give up and lay on the bed, okay I'll rest I say quietly

good the doctor says he puts a bottle of pills on the little table next to me take one of these every three hours there's an alarm set on the clock he says pointing at the clock that's also on the little table

sleep well Miss Lynn he says and walks out the door

but I can't sleep and I won't but I'm unable to get out of the bed so I lay there staring at the ceiling praying that my Damian is all right

-time skip it's been a week-

I'm finally able to move around again with little pain but still nobody will tell me anything about Damian or his whereabouts

I figured out that the pills the doctor gave me were pills that made me weak and tired I'm assuming they want me to take them so I'm not up to run away

I've been Flushing the pills in the toilet so it looks like I've been taking them

tonight I'm going to escape I need to find Damien before it's too late.

Nightfall comes and I'm sitting in my bed listening to see if I hear anyone in the hall I need my clothes and stuff I set up and look out the door of my room it remains locked with a guard posted outside

Down Hall there is a storage room where I'm pretty positive they're holding my stuff

I go and look outside the window I'm pretty sure I can climb down the side of the building by the drain pipe but I need my clothes and stuff before I do

I look around the room to find something I can use to knock out the guard

my eyes stop at the remote to control my TV I pick it up feeling the weight of it in my hand it's heavy enough that I might be able to use knock him out

I pulled the curtain in front of the door using it as cover

with the remote in hand I yell to the guard outside

Hey sir will you please come here I need help

what do you want the guard yells from outside

just come here please I need help

I hear him mutter I don't get paid enough for this and he opens the door

I hide behind the curtain as he walks past it

what do you- I smack him hard in the back of the head with the remote he falls to the ground

yes yes I did it I retrieve my stuff from the storage room out in the hall I put my clothes on and my backpack on my back

then I returned to my room and climb out the window down the drain pipe to the parking lot I look around and see a motorcycle with the keys still in it

jackpot I say and hop on in I put the keys in and start the ignition

when I hear a guy yell wait stop that's mine but I don't listen I drive off as fast as I can

I need to find Damian

-Time skip 2 hours-
I got a hotel room with a little cash I had in my backpack I pull out Damian's computer that was also my backpack I do my best to hack into the nearby jails to figure out where he is but I struggle a bit Damon was always way better with this stuff than me finally after what seems like forever but was probably only 30 minutes I hack into the system searching frantically for him

He several towns away about a two hour drive damn it I curse at myself

I go over to the hotel TV and turn it on wondering if there's any news about us I skipped through the stations until I hear his name

Damian Diaz scheduled for public execution my heart drops as I hear these words I listen closely to hear times he's going to be hung in two hours

I'm not going to make it I'm not going to make it I say frantically as I grab my jacket and backpack running out to the motorcycle I stole from before

I hop on it and put the key in it starting it I raced as fast as I can to where he is praying that I'll make it in time before he's killed

Please let me get there in time.
