Jake and tara is out clubbing, when Jake gets a little to drunk and starts saying things he shouldn't be saying.

——

It was a typical Friday night in the life of Tara yummy, She had convinced her Jake to join her at one of LA's hottest clubs. The pulsating music and vibrant atmosphere provided the perfect mood for their evening of alcohol and dancing. Tara always brought a unique sparkle to any room she entered. She was the life of the party, and she loved every moment of it.

As they navigated through the crowded dance floor, Jake tried to keep up with Tara's energetic walking. He was starting to get really drunk, he had been having a few drinks to loosen up. Maybe a little to many. They weaved through the sea of dancing bodies, their laughter echoing above the bass of the song.

As they stood at the bar of the club, they met Eve, a young woman around their age. She had long, wavy hair that went down over her shoulders, and her blue eyes held a hint of mystery. She seemed a bit out of place in the bustling club, and Tara's friendly nature immediately drew her to the girl.

"Hey, I'm Tara, and this is my friend Jake," she introduced them, her voice rising above the music. "Having a good night so far?"

Eve smiled a shy smile back at Tara, but her gaze shifted uneasily towards Jake, who was already a few drinks in and was becoming more drunk by the minute. "I'm Eve," she replied softly, her voice almost drowned out by the music. "I'm not much of a club person, but I thought I'd give it a try."

Tara could see that Eve was uncomforable, and suggested that they could move to a quieter spot near the bar. They went over to an emty both and sat down, As they chatted Tara learned that Eve was new to LA and that she had came to the club hoping to find some friends here. And Tara loved making new friends herself.

However, as the conversation carried on, Jake, now a couple more drinks in, being more drunk then before, began to interrupt with what he considered playful jokes. Even though his jokes didn't mean any harm, Tara could see how uncomforable Eve became at some of his words.

"Hey, Jake, ease up a bit." Tara whispered, nudging him gently. "Maybe you're being a bit too much."

Jake, in his intoxicated state, laughed off Tara's concern. "It's all in good fun, Tara. She's a big girl, she can take a little joke."

But Tara could see the hurt in Eve's eyes, and she knew that Jake had crossed a line with her. "No, Jake, it's not okay. You're being rude. I think you've had enough to drink."

As the tension between them escalated, Eve, unable to bear the awkwardness any longer, excused herself and quickly went over towards the bathrooms, her eyes glistening with tears as she ran of. Tara's heart sank as she witnessed the distress she knew her friend had caused.

Tara stood up and started walking after Eve, leaving Jake behind at the bar. She found Eve in a bathroom stall, her shoulders shaking with silent sobs.

"Eve, are you okay?" Tara asked gently, her voice filled with concern. "I'm so sorry about Jake. He can be a real jerk sometimes when he's had too much to drink."

Eve's tears flowed down her checks now, as she nodded, her voice barely audible. "I-I'm not good with that kind of jokes. I thought we were having a nice time, but then..." Her words trailed off, and she wiped the tears away with the back of her hand.

Tara felt a wave of anger towards Jake for ruining what could have been a really funny night. She knew Jake could be a little much at times, but tonight he had gone too far.

"You don't deserve to be treated like that, Eve. I'm so sorry. Let's get out of here and get some fresh air, okay? We can go somewhere quieter, and you can tell me all about yourself."

Eve nodded a little, grateful for Tara's kindness twords her. The two women got up and left the club, stepping out into the cold night air. They sat down on a bench outside of the club. As they sat down Eve asked Tara if she could smoke around her, tara nodded while Eve took out a ciggarete from her pack and lighted it up.

As they talked, Tara learned more about Eve's life, her dreams, and her reasons for moving to the city. She even opened up about her struggles with making new friends and how she often felt like an outsider. Eve also bought up her family issiuse, all the mean things her father had told her when she was younger, witch was also the reason she reacted so strongly to Jake's comments. Tara, being an empathetic person, listened carfully, offering words of wisdom and sharing her own experiences of overcoming similar challenges.

"You know, Eve, I think we could be great friends," Tara said, her brown eyes sparkling with hope. "I'd love to show you around the city and introduce you to some of my other friends. They're great, and I know they'd welcome you with open arms."

A smile apered across Eve's face, the first genuine one of the night. "I'd like that, Tara. I feel like I can trust you, and it's been a while since I've had a friend I could really talk to."

Meanwhile, back at the club, Jake was still sitting in the both over at the bar. He had now started to sober up, and began to realize the problem his behavior had caused. The memory of Eve's hurt expression haunted him, and he felt a deep sense of remorse. As he made his way out of the club, he hoped that this girl he just met, and Tara, could forgive him.

As he came out of the club, he could see Tara and Eve walking twords him, laughing. Jake went up to Eve and told her how sorry he was about everything he had said. He explained that he was so used to use dark humor with all of his other friends, that he forgot that other people may get upset. Eve hugged Jake and told him she was okay, and that it wasn't his fault since he was drunk.

Since Eve didn't have the money to get a cab back to her apartment, Tara offerd to pay for her cab and that Eve could have a sleepover at her place if she wanted. Eve agreed and the three of them went into the cab and drowe off.
