Like and comment 💕The next morning⭐️
Lyric woke up to soft glow of the morning sun spilling across her bed warming her skin.... She blinked, still caught between the sleep and the memory of last night. Trevon's voice smooth and confident, echoed in her mind his laugh, the way he'd talk to her like no one else was in the room.
She stretched, Turing over to check her phone. There it was—a text from Trevon, sent late last night after he'd dropped her off.
Trevon🖤: "You know I had you smilin' all night. Keep thinkin' bout it. We ain't done yet, L. Catch you later"
Lyric smiled to herself, shaking her head. He always had that way of getting in her head, making sure couldn't forget about him even if she tried.
She sat up in her bed, rubbing her eyes and glancing at the clock. She had errands to run, but her body still heavy from comfort sleep and ease of last night's vibe. She threw the covers off and swung her legs over the side of the bed, her bare feet touching the cool floor as she reached for her phone.
As she scrolled through her messages replayed pieces of their conversation in her mind—the way Trevon talked, his street-smooth charm.
Trevon🖤: "You know you miss me, stop frontin'. I'm still that dude, and you know you feelin' it".
Lyric laughed it off at the time, but she had missed him more than she wanted to admit it. And after last night, there was no denying that he still had a hold on her.
She stood up, stretching her arms above her head before glimpse of herself in mirror and smirked, remembering the way he'd looked at her last night, like he always knew exactly what he was doing.
"You looking good, Ma. Real good. Ain't nobody else touchin' that. You that right?" His voice played back in her mind as she tied her up in messy bun and splashed cold water on her face.
She brushed her teeth, then moved back to her room, sliding open the closet doors. Today was errands nothing fancy. She grabbed a pair of jeans and crop top, something casual and comfortable. As she pulled the crop over head, her phone buzzed again.
Trevon🖤:"What you up to?. You thinkin' about last night, ain't you? Stop playing like I don't know".
Lyric chuckled softly, biting her bottom lip. He was relentless, always pushing her buttons, knowing just how to keep himself on her mind. She shot him back a quick response: "Boy, please. "I got errands to run, unlike you".
Sliding on her sneakers, she grabbed her keys from the nightstand. As she headed to the door, her phone buzzed again, and she couldn't help but glance at it as she slipped her bag over her shoulder.
Trevon🖤: "Aight handle yo business. But when you free hit me. You know we ain't done talkin', L. I'm tryna see what's up with us".
Her heart did a little flip, and she sighed, locking the door behind her as she stepped out into the morning air Trevon's voice still lingered in her head, his words wrapping around her like a familiar song she couldn't shake.
As she started the car and pulled out of the driveway, she couldn't stop thinking about what he'd said last night, about how things were easy when they were together.
