I wasn't always comfortable with the idea of leaving home. With your parents cooking the meals for you, and paying for Wi-Fi. I wasn't really prepared for the real world. Not until I met my great and wonderful boyfriend, Mark. We've skyped, but I've never seen him in person. He seems so sweet on skype, and we have been talking about moving in for a while now.Today's the day, I thought to myself. I'm leaving home to start my new life. I had Marks number on my cell. He told me that he had a surprise when I got off the plane. I was a little excited and scared at the same time. What if he wasn't what he said? What if he isn't there and...
"Excuse me ma'am? Would you like a snack or beverage?" The airplane lady asked me. "No thanks." I answered. I didn't even realize I had my earbuds in! I was ignoring her the whole time! God, I feel like an idiot!

I was just done finishing the poster for Emilys arrival. I texted her that I had a surprise for her once she got off the plane. She seemed a little off, but I understand. Meeting someone from skype and moving in with them seems like a huge step. Shes talked to me about all her likes, dislikes, fears, hopes, and dreams. She is just the perfect girl for me.10 more minutes. I thought to myself. I had the sign at my feet. It read: 'My angel Emmy'. I was just going to put on my red flannel that she saw me wear from the last time we talked ao she would recignize me better. I ran down as fast as I could to the lobby of my apartment and out the door to my car. I put the sign next to me on the passenger side seat, I couldn't wait to see the look on her face once I got there!

"You are now free to take off your seatbelts and head off the plane, thank you for flying with us today and have a great one!" Replied the lady at the front of the plane, over the intercom. I was looking around at all the people standing up, pushing their way through all the traffic ahead. One little girl was almost squished by her mom, trying to get up from her seat. I chuckled to myself, remembering how that would be me when I came off of planes. I'm a grown women now, 22 and living with my boyfriend! How exciting!Mark
5 more minuets till shes off the plane. I was mumbling. I made it to the waiting area by a little coffee store. Alot of people were heading off to their families. A couple of people crying, laughing, and even kissing. I saw Emily ome off the plane, her pink Victorias Secret travel bag in hand. I held up the sign I had threw together in 1 hour and waved her down to where I was. She saw me in an instant and ran up to me and lept into my arms. "Hey Emmy, I'm so excited for you to be here!" I laughed running my fingers through her hair. "I was a little worried you weren't going to make it." She said with tears in her eyes. I quickly and gently dabbed them away and took her hand in mine, and walked her to where we get her luggage. "I wouldn't miss this day if it ment spending some quality time with you." I told her.Emily
"I wouldn't miss this day if it ment spending some quality time with you." Mark smiled at me. I love that smile. Just the way his eyes crinkle at the sides lets me know that he really means it. I had no idea where we were going, so I let Mark lead me to get the rest of my belongings. "Its that one," I pointed to a big suitcase that had palm trees all over it, "its right there." Mark took ahold of my suitcase, which was pretty heavy and filled with most of my things that I couldn't let go of. My mom had this necklace ahe wanted me to have. It was a family heirloom and she was passing it on to me. Ahe said it was for luck on my 'journey'. A big journey this was.
"Your chariot ma' lady." Mark bowed. I laughed and replied in a british accent, "why thank you kind sir." He closed the door behind me and put my bags in the backseat. Well, I thought to myself, he is a gentlemen and has a very halarious sense of humor. A+ in my book! "You ready, Emmy?" He asked me while sitting in the drivers seat. "Ready." I said while putting my seatbelt on.
