Saying goodbye is hard especially when it's to your best friend who has been there for you and you may never see again. "Goodbye Doctor." I said.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up in the room that the Doctor had given me on the TARDIS. It had a white wooden floor, dark blue walls and matching bed covers and pillow. There was a fluffy blue rug in the middle of the room and a desk. It was brilliant. I got up and changed. I changed into a red t-shirt, some jeans and red converse. After I got changed I headed to the console room.

I did a random skip into the console room to find the Doctor leaning against the console facing me. "Morning. Or whatever time it is." I said. How could you tell the time in space? "Where to today?" "Well, I was planning on setting the TARDIS on random so we could land anywhere but then I got a call from an old friend who needs my help." He explained.

"Who is this friend?"

"His name is Captain Jack Harkness. We used to travel together but now he works for a group called Torchwood." The Doctor started spinning around the console and soon we were moving.

The TARDIS materialised in Cardiff in Wales. We walked out and looked around. "Jack said he would meet me here." The Doctor moaned. "Ah there he is." The Doctor walked over to a man who was sitting on a bench next to a tall glass thing with water coming down inside it unaware that we were there. His style was very WW2-ish. We walked over to him and the Doctor said, "Hello Jack." Jack turned his head to the Doctor and stood in front of him.

"Long time no see Doctor. Regenerated I see." Jack said in his American accent then turned to me with a cheeky smile. "Hello, Captain Jack Harkness." And I blushed. Too bad I was taken.

"Stop it. Jack, this is Chloe. Chloe, Captain Jack Harkness."

"I was only saying hello. Anyway come with me Doctor."

We were lead down into the Torchwood Hub as Jack called it. Jack introduced us to Gwen, Owen, Ianto and Tosh, the rest of the Torchwood team, then took us to his office. "What seems to be the problem?" The Doctor asked. "We have a small Abzorbaloff problem. We have got footage of one lurking around this area but because you defeated one a few years back we called you in since we have no idea how to destroy one." Jack explained.

"Abzorba-what?" I questioned.

"An Abzorbaloff. It's a big green alien that absorbs people. It's in the title." The Doctor felt like he was starting the obvious. I rolled my eyes jokingly as Jack explained what the plan was.

I was still rushing around Cardiff to find an alien in a human form that could be anywhere. Me, the Doctor, Jack and some of the Torchwood team had split up. apart from Tosh who stayed in the Hub to tell us where to go. Now I was on my own in a town where the Abzorbaloff could be gone already. Tosh had given us all earpieces so we could communicate. "Chloe, the Abzorbaloff is closer to you now. Turn left at the next street and he is the big man in the suit with a cane." Tosh instructed. And there he was. The green monster in a human body. Now all I had to do was follow him until the others showed up and helped. "Be careful and stick to the plan. Don't touch him." The Doctor advised. "Don't worry, I don't plan on getting absorbed by an alien any time soon." I said. The plan was to get his attention and try to find out where he was going. "Sir, sir!" I said as the Abzorbaloff walked passed. "Whatever you're selling, I'm not buying. I have a... meeting to attend." He rudely said before hurrying off. Great, a "meeting".

I followed the Abzorbaloff down a few streets. He turned into an alley so I hid behind a bin in the alley. Not to close but close enough to hear what he was saying. A scared girl, about my age, was stood with the Abzorbaloff. "Do you have my money?" He asked the girl. She handed him some money with a trembling hand. "This isn't enough! You're £100 short! I told you £500 and you give me £400. Stupid girl!" The girl said something quietly and got on her knees to beg. The Abzorbaloff suddenly changed into it's normal form and grabbed her wrist. She started to be absorbed into him. "No!" I shouted. I didn't know what I was doing. "The girl has a friend? Not any more!" Then the girl disappeared then appeared on his side. There were a few more faces scattered on his body that must have suffered the same fate. "Your turn!" The Abzorbaloff started walking towards me then it changed to a jog which meant I had to run. "He's chasing me!" I shouted down the earpiece.

"Keep running. The Doctor and Jack are a few blocks away. Turn right now then carry down the street." I did as I was told and turned right into the street. The Abzorbaloff was still onto me. The streets were deserted which was good because the alien couldn't harm anyone else.

Where were they? Tosh said a few blocks away. I should have run into them. "Doctor? Jack? Where the hell are you?" I cried.

"The next street." Jack said. I must have taken the wrong turn because I ended up in an alley with a dead end. I tried to jump up on the wall that was at the end but I was too small to reach the top. I was surprised that the alley was quite clean with no bins at the end or boxes to stand on. "No where to run!" The Abzorbaloff laughed. I had to think quick.

"Wait!" The Abzorbaloff stopped a few meters away from me. "If I'm going to be absorbed by you then I want some answers first. Why do you need money?"

"I want to become rich. By becoming rich I can create my machine that will absorb the human race and the people of Clom can expand across Earth. My brother came to Earth a few years ago but was killed by a human. You see, these people that he absorbed were stupid enough to try and defeat him by pulling him apart from inside him. He was finally defeated by a limitation field that made the Earth absorb... him..." I couldn't believe he just blurted out how to defeat himself to me. Abzorbaloffs weren't very smart. "You hear that? Everyone absorbed, do as he just said and quickly!" I could hear the absorbed people straining and then he was being pulled apart. "Stupid girl!" The Abzorbaloff tried walking towards me but was failing badly. He dropped his cane and I had the chance to pick it up and break it. He then turned into a liquid or something and was absorbed into the Earth. "The Abzorbaloff has gone." I said into the earpiece and walked out of the alley.

I came out of the alley and nearly got knocked over by the Doctor. "Where were you?" He asked.

"Took the wrong turn. Anyway, the Abzorbaloff has... been absorbed."

"How did you know how to defeat it?"

"Abzorbaloffs are blabbermouths and not very bright."

We caught up with the others and walked back to the TARDIS with Jack. It was getting dark so we decided to go. He thanked me and the Doctor for helping him and talked about if we needed him just call him. Then we were off again. "Where to now Doctor?" I asked following him around the console. "Bed." I groaned then did as I was told. "Goodnight Chloe."

"Night Doctor."
