Chapter 11

BETHANY POV
I woke up to my beeping alarm clock the next day. "Shut the hell up." I muttered to myself. "Ugh!" I said as I got out of bed. I went to my dresser and pulled out some random clothes to wear. I pulled out my Stampy tee shirt, with my jean shorts, and my black converse. I ran downstairs to eat some breakfast. After I ate I grabbed my backpack and ran out the door to catch the bus.

*time lapse*

We arrived at school. I hopped of the bus, and I wouldn't have believed what I saw. It was a sign for the Spring Dance. Oh shit its tonight! I totally forgot about it. I walked into the school, and to my locker. I felt someone grab me by the shoulders. I spun around only to see Carter.
"You scared me to death!"
"Sorry, listen I just wanted to say that I'll see you tonight, right?"
"Yup I'll be there!"
"Ok bye." He said planting a kiss on my cheek. Wait did he just kiss me? Oh my God Carter Hills just kissed me! I felt a
blush rise up on my cheeks. Come on Bethany stop with the damn blushing!

*time lapse*

I was walking down the hallway with Emerald to our art class, when I noticed something. Riley was walking down the hallway with another girl. She had short brown frizzy hair, and was wearing a tee shirt that I could have sworn she made cause I've never seen anything like it.
It said:
I hate Minecraft YouTubers
Stampy is the worst
If you like them
I'll punch you in the face
Who the hell would make a tee shirt like that. I was staring at her with an evil expression on my face. Riley was the one who made her wear that tee shirt. Then I remembered what tee shirt I was wearing. I looked down only to see my Stampy tee shirt. "Great!" I mumbled. I guess they got suspicious about why I was staring, so they walked over to me.
"Bethany!" Riley said as she walked over to me, trying to act nice.
"This is Rebecca!" She said in a cheery voice. Typical.
"She will whoop your ass Bethany." She whispered in my ear, as I was pushed strait into the lockers.
"Ouch!" I screamed.
"Oh I'm not finished yet!" Rebecca said.
She kicked me everywhere, my head my stomach my arms my legs. I screamed after every kick. No one did anything.
"Just one more kick." Rebecca said.
"No please!" I said and everything went black.

*time skip*

I woke up in a strange place, but then I realized where I was. The nurses office. I rolled over on my side and saw Joseph sitting there with dried tears in his face and new ones coming out.
"Bethany! Your ok!"
"Yeah I'm fine, wha-what happened?"
"You passed out cause a girl kicked you in the head multiple times, I'm just glad your ok." He said hugging me.
Rebecca. Why would she do this to me? Oh I know why, she hates me like everyone in this shity school.
"Come on Bethany we gotta go home, and get you ready for the dance."
"Ok Joe lets go."

*time lapse*

I walked down the stairs and saw Joseph and Beth sitting on the sofa laughing about something.
"Hello Bethany!" Beth said in a cheery voice.
"Hey!" I replied.
"You ready?" Joe asked.
"Ready as I'll every be!"
"Ok well let's go!"

*time lapse*

We arrived at the school. I saw Carter standing at the doors waiting for me. I got out of the car and ran up to Carter.
"Hey." I said
"Hi, so should we go in?"
"Yeah let's go!"
We walked into the gym, and it was beautiful. (Want to know what it looked like look at the pic^)

They finally played a slow song. Me and Carter walked on to the dance floor, along with a few other people. He put his hands around my waist and I out mine around his neck. I rocked back and forth. I tried to beak the silence so I asked him a question.
"So Carter when did you start to like me?"
"Ever since I laid my eyes on you, when did you start liking me?"
"When we met." I chuckled.
I looked at him, he looked at me with a smile on his face.
"Ummm are yo-"
He cut me off with a kiss I kissed back, but it didn't feel right. You know how some puzzle pieces look like they fit together, but then you try and they don't. That's how this felt. I guess Carter wanted to go deeper so he started to stuck his tongue in my mouth. I pushed away and ran out of the school in tears. Why? I just embarrassed myself in front of the whole school. I ran over to a bench at the other side of the school. I sat down and brought my knees up to my chest. I put my head in them and sobbed. I heard someone sit down next to me. I turned my head and saw a boy sitting next to me. If I'm going to be totally honest with you, he was very cute. He had longish black hair, with beautiful grass green eyes. I had no idea who he was so i asked him,
"Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?"
"Well, I'm Rafe Kay you probably don't know me very well cause I'm a grade ahead of you, and you are?"
"I'm Bethany Garrett, but why are you here I don't even know you?"
"I helped your friend carry you down to the nurses office, and I came to ask why you ran away."
"So you helped me, of all people you helped me, why?"
"Well you looked pretty beat up, and I always help people who are hurt."
"Wow, thanks I guess." I chuckled
"No problem," he laughed "but why did you run away?"
"Well, Carter just kissed me in front of the whole school, and it was kinda embarrassing."
"Oh, well you should really come back to the dance, come on." He said holding out his hand. I grabbed his hand and we walked back hand in hand.

*time lapse*

The dance was over. Finally. I didn't talk to Carter to much after the whole kiss thing. I don't really like him anymore, and if your wondering Rafe is my friend not my boyfriend. We have a lot of the same interests, like getting in trouble, playing video games, and baseball. It was fun getting to know him. Joseph's car finally pulled up, and I hopped inside.
"So how was the dance?" He asked.
"Fine I guess."
"What happened Bethany? You seem kinda sad."
"Nothing happened Joseph I'm fine."
I looked out the window and counted every yellow car I could find.
