Chapter 1

I remember watching you everyday during class, your eyes were always so sad, but you still smiled. You thought you had everyone fooled, but not me. All I wanted to do was tap your shoulder and just ask if you were okay, but I knew you would have lied. Oh, I wish I would have, though. Maybe things would have been different. You left so sudden, you didn't even say good bye. Why did you leave, Corey? Why did you leave me all alone? I needed you. I still need you. You were my best friend, you were my other half,but most of all, you were the love of my life. Oh Corey, why did you have to go? It's never going to be the same without you. Feldman came by the other day, he looked awful. He came crying to me about how it was his fault you were gone. He thought he could have been a better friend, but I knew that wasn't true. He was your best friend. You guys got in a little fight, that's what friends do. He said he wished you wouldn't have stormed out. But he also wished he would have chased after you. I can't help but wonder, if he did chase after you, would you still be here?
