The truth is, he told me, right to my face,
That his heart for me had lost its place.
He said it without a flicker of doubt,
But I stood there hoping love could work it out.I clung to the dream, too blind to let go,
Believing in stories where love doesn't say no.
In the movies, the girl never walks away,
She holds on until he begs her to stay.In those stories, the girl never gives in,
She fights till the end, and love always wins.
She shows him the truth he’s too blind to see,
That deep down, he still loves her endlessly.I thought I could be that girl, the one who fights,
The one who turns darkness into shimmering lights.
But here I am, standing alone in the rain,
Drenched in my tears, swallowed by pain.
