y/n got up panting heavily. y/m was patting y/n's back gently.
y/m: it was that nightmare again, right? y/n: yes. mom, I'm fine. you go and sleep. y/m: how can you say you're fine when you are panting and sweating so much because of that nightmare? huh. I'll sleep here, don't worry about me, take care of yourself. y/n: ok mom.
Then both of them slept in y/n's room.
*Flashback 1* Everything was going well for y/n. She was in her 2nd year of her college.Her crush jaegun was her boyfriend and she was also good in studies. It was was summer holidays and decided to go to her boyfriend's mansion but after she got inside she saw him kissing another girl on the kitchen countertop. She called him. But his phone was near the door where y/n could see the caller id. It was - rich bet
y/n: what are you doing? Why are you doing this to me? Was i just a bet? jaegun: yeah. Can't you see I'm busy? y/n: ok. I'll leave.*crying*
She packed up her belongings and turns to leave but jaegun held her by her wrist tightly and dragged her to an underground room. He tied her to a chair.started to beat her with anything he got. He beat her up until she was half conscious, blood was dripping down her whole body and she was fully bruised. He used to do this always. He came home partially drunk, beat her up and fed her something and gave water to drink and went to work. She only got one meal a day and little bit of water to drink. She became very malnourished. Bones were clearly visible on her whole body and almost no flesh was there in her body. But one day he didn't come back, but someone else came in a full black outfit whose eyes were visible. She didn't seem to recognise the person.
y/n: who are you? ???: it's not important right now. I'll help you to escape from him. I'll tell everything you ask about me, but first, we have to get out of here now. y/n: okay.
That person helped her to get out of there and took y/n to a hospital.
y/n: you are Haein, right? Haein: yeah, it's me. y/n: but what are you doing here? Haein: let the doctor treat your wounds first, then I'll tell you.
* flashback 2* Few days ago during exams, she was reading and while standing in the bus. A man came and stole her bag and tried to escape by a girl near her held him and snatched the bag from him. Then she called the police on him and he was arrested.
???: take care of yourself. Sometimes people won't be there to help you. y/n: ok. Thank you so much. By the way, may I know your name? ???: you're welcome. And I'm Haein, Hong Haein. y/n: I'm Min y/n .
Both of them met each other while traveling by the bus and became friends. They exchanged their numbers. They used to chat and call with each other. But she found it odd that y/n didn't call her. So she immediately came to Jaegun's mansion. She knew where he lived because he was her cousin and y/n always used to mention about him. She thought he might have done something to her and decided to come fully prepared. She didn't find anyone there but decided to check the underground room. When she came she saw a horrific scene. y/n was tied up to a chair and she was almost lifeless.
*Flashback 2 ends*
Soon the doctor came Doc: she is injured. But she is okay. You brought her here on right time. You can discharge her tomorrow. Haein: ok. Can I see her? Doc: yeah, sure. But don't wake her up. Haein:ok doctor.thank you so much. Doc: you're welcome.
In the room y/n woke up due to the door opening sound. Haein: hey, how are you? y/n: I'm fine. Thank you so much. Haein: it's okay. You're welcome.
After the discharge y/n went to seoul to complete her college and so that she could be with her family. Haein was a medical student in seoul so they used to meet up sometimes. Jaegun was reported to the police but being rich, he easily avoided jail and paid them money. Along with collage, y/n went to therapy.
*Flashback 1 ends*
She had couple of nightmares like those everyday. She consulted Haein she was a doctor now
Haein: I think you should start going to therapy again y/n: yeah. But I'm not free Haein: then go on Sundays y/n:but I won't be able to hang out with you Haein:therapy is not gonna be there for the whole day. After coming back you can hang out with me y/n: Bye Good night Haein: Good night
She started going to therapy again. Her dad asked her to be the CEO and y/n agreed after long debate with her dad.
Time skip, next morning
She freshened up and wore this paired with black high heels and headed to office.

As soon as she came, all eyes were on her. Just the the CEO came and everyone stood up and bowed. He announced " as I'm getting old, I'll be retiring from the CEO post .y/n, my daughter will be the new CEO." There were a lot of gasps and commotion. They couldn't believe him because till yesterday, she was just a normal employee and today, she is the new CEO. All of them immediately bowed to her.
y/n: There is no place for mistakes. If I find any mistakes, you are fired. Everyone: *shocked and sadly* ok maam. y/n:* Chuckles*I was just kidding. You can make mistakes. We all are humans and we make mistakes. Just accept your fault if you made a mistake. And ... no need to bow down to me. Treat me like your friend.
Everyone cheered and whistled at her speech.
y/n: ok everyone. Now get back to your work.
y/d left the place. y/n went towards hoseok and said
y/n: Mr.Jung, please come to my office with my tasks of the day. Hoseok: ok, maam.
In the office
Hoseok: maam, you have a meeting with mr.Park in the afternoon. y/n: anything else? Hoseok: no maam. Then, may I go? y/n: yeah
After he went outside y/n checked the news. She was shocked.
y/n: what the hell! How is that even possible?
y/n called Hoseok and said
y/n: check the source of this news. See if the source is true about this news and check the authenticity of this news. Hoseok: ok maam.
