Sunshine

Chapter 1

"Alright class! Let's get started, today we will be writing our own story" 

"You can write about anything you want, aslong as you do it by yourself. This will be 50% of your grade so make sure you put all your heart and soul in it"- Mrs.Bloom

"Hey sunshine, how was your weekend?" 

"Sunshine?"- Meave

"Huh? What?" - Lily 

"I asked how your weekend was, what's going on in that pretty little head of yours huh?"

Meave touches her head, and strokes her hear. Lily instantly panicks and slaps her hand away.

"My weekend was fine, can you please not touch my hair?" I snap at her.

"What... Normally you don't mind when i do it but al the sudden you do, why now? Did i do something wrong?"

"Lily, Meave please be quiet and focus on your writing"

I decide to listen to Mrs.Bloom and ignore Meaves question, she isn't wrong though. I always love it when she touches my hair, it makes me feel safe and at ease but not in school. Nobody can know about us and especially not my parents they will send me away.

"Fine, if you are just going to ignore me than we will talk about this later" 

Great, now she is mad at me but i did rather have her mad at me now than my parents finding out. I can fix this mistake but i can't fixed their opinion about gay woman.

That's right, i'm gay and my parents... well they are kind of against the whole thing. Growing up i was raised with *you should find a boyfriend before you're out of college* and *gay woman and men are discusting, why do they exits* So that's why i'm hiding from everyone that i'm in a relationship with a woman. Meave doesn't know about all this and she can't know. I will tell her ones we are off to college, than i'm 18 and everything will be better. I can move out and love whom i want to love. 

*Later that day, after school*

I'm sitting in my car when i get a text from Meave. 

"Hey, where are you i want to talk"- Mea Mea

Oh crap she's probably upset with me about earlier, i will just tell her to meet me at my car and than i will explain ones we are out of town where nobody can see us.

"Hey, i'm in my car. Can you come meet me here? I miss you"- Lils

"Ofcourse, i miss you too you know"-Mea Mea

Right as i receive her message, i look around and see her. I take a deep breath and a sign of relieve. She is so perfect. 

"Hey sunshine" Gosh hearing this nickname out of her mouth makes me feel so seen. Everyone calls me sunshine but with her it just feels so different.

"Hey"

As soon as she get's in, i instantly give her a quick kiss. 

"What's up? I feel like you are always so distant whenever we are in public" 

"I know, i know but the thing is i can't tell you. Not yet atleast"

Gosh i hate that i can't tell her..

"Okayyyy? And why can't you tell me?"

"Because... because... if i tell you and other people find out everything will change and i don't want my life to change or people to see me differently" I begin to sob.

"Hey, hey, it's okay! I'm here you know, i can help you. You can tell me, i won't tell anyone else" She kisses my forhead and holds me in her arms.

"No i can't tell you, no matter how badly i want to tell you. I'm sorry baby but i just... i can't"

"Hey it's okay, aslong as you promise to tell me one day okay? Can you atleast tell me when you can?" 

"I can't tell you the exact moment but just know ones we get out of highschool i will at some point tell you okay?"

"So not for another few weeks?"

"Not for another few weeks"

"Alright, so what can we do? And when can we not be so distant? Cause you always are in public"

"Exactly in public, that is the only place i am okay. That's all i can say"

"Fine, want to go to my place? Or yours?"

"Well if we go to yours we can go to your room and have the doors closed, when we go to mine we can only sit in the libary and do homework. You know how my parents are about friends from school coming over"

"Right... No distractions so school friends means school only"

"Yup, can we go to yours? I will just say that i'm meeting up with elisabeth since it's the weekend now anyways"

"Uhm sure, gosh i can't wait until you can tell me"

"I know, trust me, me too"
