(Wonyoungs's POV)

"What..?" I could barely muster up the words to talk back to my parents. "You heard us. Jang Wonyoung, we're sending you to your school's theatre club! You need to be more social and besides, it'll help you gain more talent instead of just depending on us all the time."  My mum laughed as she said that. She thought she was
soo hilarious. "You can drop it if you REALLY hate it. But you have to try something, for once in your life." My dad joined in with his slight mockery of me. "Fine. I'll prove that I can do it, and I'll become the greatest actress you'll ever know."
I stormed out of the room, finally tired of their behaviour.

I bet they wanted me be just like my perfect sister Da-ah, since she's a famous actress. Can't we just be different for once? Why do I always have to be compared to her? I'd rather be an idol..

- The next day, Monday -

"Guess what!" I exclaim as I slam my lunch tray onto the circular table, alarming my friends instantly. "Why do you sound so pissed?" My Year Eight friend, Leeseo giggled. "I'm being forced to be in our school's theatre club." I huffed. My two friends blink blankly at me. "Really? I thought the news was gonna be way worse." Liz smiles. "It is the worst, Liz. My reputation will be ruined! Do you know how low-life being in the theatre industry is? Now Yuna will be the most popular girl at our school!"

Liz's face goes pale as she realises what's likely to happen. "Nobody has to know. Just bribe the theatre kids with money, or threaten them." I gasp, not even trying to understand her words. "BRIBE? THREATEN? Are you crazy? I guess I'll just have to let it happen.."

"We won't let that happen. We'll bring some popular people to watch, so you can show them that acting isn't weird." Leeseo patted my back. "I don't want popular kids there to watch me make a fool out of myself, I just need you guys there.." I half-heartedly admit. "Well, when's the first session?" Liz inquires. I look at the clock. Great, it's 1:59pm. Tick. Now it's 2:00. "Now."

There were about twenty (or so) kids my age gathered around in the auditorium, seemingly being led by a girl called Huh Yunjin. (I know her, she used to do opera, but she quit - I wonder why.) I decided to sit back and just wait until they decided I was needed.

(Yujin's POV)

"So, the play we will preform this year is.." The only sound in the room were grainy ticks and ambience, leaving our stomachs churning in excitement. "The Little Mermaid!" Everyone clapped. "It's gonna be a musical. Don't worry, you'll get vocal training (if needed) from me."

I didn't want her training me, she was already harsh enough.

"You all have to audition for the part you want. If you want to be Ariel, put your hand up."

Surprisingly, nobody wanted to be Ariel. Yunjin glanced over at the audience seats and saw a girl sitting there, looking very confused.

She was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen, with her shiny, black hair and big doll eyes. I was staring at her, god, she was so beautiful. I swear she glanced back at me for a second.

"Who are you?" Yunjin scoffed back at the pretty girl. "I'm Wonyoung." The room fell dead silence. Jang Wonyoung? Why is she at theatre club? Yunjin cleared her voice. "Why are you distancing yourself..?" Wonyoung rolled her eyes, something was gonna happen. "Because I don't wanna be here. I was forced. Can I just be a costume designer or something?" "All the backstage rolls are already filled up," Yunjin mocked. "You might aswell audition for Ariel. You might even have a chance, since nobody else wants to play her."

(Wonyoung's POV)

Did she insult me? I'm sorry, did this nose job theatre failure just insult me?

"Maybe this is why you quit your opera career. You probably strained your voice due to the fact you talk too much with that nasty attitude. I bet they did a background check and realised you're a HUGE dick."

I pause, calming down just a bit more. That bitch looked appalled, that's when I knew that I won the fight.

"I'll show you I could be better than any of these suckers." I flip my hair in her face as I get up on the stage.

(Yujin's POV)

I know Yunjin's rude but that Wonyoung girl is a whole other level of bitch. She needs to calm down, or she's gonna get kicked out of the theatre . Not like I care or anything. Her pretty face won't get her through theatre unless she has talent.

(Wonyoung's POV)

"I'm gonna sing Part Of Your World. Mute kid, get that lyric sheet ready!" I pointed at a Year Seven called Rora tidying her music sheet sitting on the piano stool.

Soon enough, the music was ready. I suddenly felt I wasn't good enough, that I couldn't do anything, just like Yunjin and my parents said. But I needed to complete my mission, to prove them wrong. And so, I started singing softly,  my vowels perfectly aligning with the lyrics.

I thought they hated it at first, but I realised they were looks of straight admiration. A girl in Year Ten called Giselle muttered, "Someone get the red hair dye."

(Yujin's POV)

Woah. Wonyoung had the most beautiful voice I had ever heard. Even Yunjin's jaw dropped.
"Now I've got you silenced?" She said so snarkily, everyone had to laugh.

"Shit. I guess I can't reject that voice. Jang Wonyoung is our Ariel! And I lied. Nobody else has to audition because I assigned roles in my notebook yesterday. The prince is Ahn Yujin..."

All her words after that faded into the background. Me? Alongside Wonyoung? Would we have to kiss? I was getting way more excited than I should be..

"Ursula is gonna be played by Shim Belle, Flounder will be played by Hokazono Iroha, and.."

(Wonyoung's POV)

Of course I wanted to take a look at who would be playing my love interest. She was kind of handsome. I wouldn't mind kissing her - if she was a guy. However, she looked like an overall boring person, the only standout facts about her is her attractiveness and her cute, smiling face.. Shit, I need to snap out of it!

Yunjin started to speak again, beckoning everyone over. "On our next meeting - which is Wednesday - (they happen every two days) we will practice some scenes with our lead and her love interest, so they can feel attracted, attached, magnetic, connected, you know what I mean.. Bye guys, take one of the scripts on your way out!"
