Chapter 26: Love's Dark Embrace

She gasped, the file slipping from her fingers and crashing to the ground, words stuck in her throat. Jungkook pressed his lips against hers with such force that she shivered, and he didn't pause for a second.

He gripped her tiny face with his large hands and shifted his head to the sides during the kiss to really seal the connection.

Lia was gasping for air, feeling the kiss weigh her down, so she tried to shove Jungkook away by pushing on his shoulders.

But he wasn't having it; he grabbed her wrists and slammed them against the door, holding her in place.

"Uh, Jungko..." she tried to say, but her words got jumbled while he kept kissing her. He wouldn't easily pull away from her lips.

Finally, he put his mouth on her neck and started sucking it. When her lips were released, she breathed so deeply that the sound of her heavy breathing echoed in the room.

Jungkook was busy kissing her neck when his hand slid down; he gave her backside a good squeeze under that short skirt and lifted one of her legs to his waist, pulling her closer.

Jungkook! Please, we're at the office! She sighed, feeling drained, but Jungkook didn't care about her words.

He scooped her up, ignoring her protests, and wrapped her legs around him, striding over to his desk like it was no big deal.

He laid her on the table, pressing his lips against hers once more as he started to unbutton her shirt. He then leaned down, kissing her bare legs before pulling her skirt off completely

Jungkook, please, just stop!" She dropped her head on the table, pleading. Jungkook took his time, trailing kisses up her thighs, moving slowly and teasingly.

Just as he was about to reach her most sensitive spot, Lia shot up and yanked him by the collar. "Stop, please!" she said, cutting him off. 

He raised a question, panting heavily, "Why should I stop? Are you not sure about it?" her cheeks bright red as she uttered softly. I've got something super important to share with you!

He gently touched her face and inquired, What is it? What's holding you back?

Nothing is holding me back, but there's one thing you need to know. She replied, and Jungkook saw her gaze drop, so he leaned in and kissed her lips again.

Umm, Sounds like it's something quite important. How about we discuss it tonight after I prepare some dinner for us?

Lia gave a little nod, and Jungkook positioned himself right between her legs, farming kisses on her neck. "Why'd you leave me hanging today?" he asked. "It seems like you and Taehyung connected really fast on your first day," he continued.

She shook her head while saying, "I'm so sorry! I was swamped and missed your call. Please know that I could never ignore you.

Jungkook grinned, carefully buttoned her shirt again, then lifted her gently by her waist and helped her step down from the table.

He softly spoke as he kissed her forehead, saying, "I can't wait to have fun with you tonight, so don't keep me waiting!"

She grinned and got herself ready to head back to her office.  After picking up the fallen file, she put it on Jungkook's desk.
