Aradhya's trembling hand hesitated, the marriage certificate lying before her like a prison sentence.
Aryaman's cold gaze bore into hers, his jaw clenched in triumph. "Sign it" he growled, his voice dripping with malice.
In the absence of their parents, Aryaman had manipulated circumstances to force this union. Aradhya's refusal would shame her family and ruin her sister's reputation.
With a heavy heart, she signed her name sealing her fate. Aryaman's smile twisted, his eyes flashing with vengeance.
"Your family's debts will be paid in full, through you". He whispered, his breath hot against her ear.
Aradhya felt trapped a pawn in Aryaman's game of revenge. A mistake she never did bound her to this forced marriage.
As Aryaman's lips brushed against her in a cold, calculating kiss, Aradhya's thoughts screamed.
This is not the end.
One day, I'll break free.
