*Chapter Twelve: Morning of Anxiety and Day of Joy *

The soft morning light streamed into the room as Ino slowly woke up. The warmth of the bed and the faint sounds of birds outside made the morning feel peaceful, almost idyllic. But as Ino became more aware of her surroundings, she noticed something unusual. Naruto, still fast asleep, had shifted in the night, his face nestled against her chest.
The faint sounds of birds outside made the morning seem peaceful and almost perfect. But as Ino became more aware of her surroundings, she noticed something unusual. Naruto, still asleep, stirred in the night, his face resting on her chest. .
Ino's face immediately turned bright red as her heart raced. She froze for a moment, unsure of how to react. She had never been in such an intimate position with Naruto before, and though it was innocent, it still made her extremely self-conscious. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself.
"N-Naruto-kun..." she whispered softly, trying to gently move him.
Naruto stirred, his eyes slowly opening as he realized the situation. His face turned crimson in an instant, and he quickly sat up, stumbling over his words in embarrassment.
"Ino-chan! I—I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to—!" Naruto stammered, rubbing the back of his neck, his eyes wide with panic. "I don't know how that happened, I swear!"
Ino, still blushing, waved her hand. "It's okay, Naruto-kun. Really... I know you didn't mean it." She smiled to reassure him, though her heart was still racing. She appreciated that he was always so genuine, even when things got awkward. His honesty was part of what she liked about him.
But as the moment passed, Ino couldn't shake the sudden heaviness that filled her chest. The warmth of the morning, the safety of being with Naruto—it all felt too fragile. She had been living in peace with him for weeks now, but there was something dark that lingered in the back of her mind. A gnawing feeling, like a shadow that wouldn't leave.
Her father.
The thought of him still haunted her, even in her happiest moments. Ino sat quietly for a moment, feeling the weight of the fear settle into her chest. She had run from him, escaped his control, but she knew he wouldn't give up so easily. He was relentless, and his anger was dangerous.
"Ino-chan?" Naruto's voice broke through her thoughts, his concern evident. "Are you okay?"
Ino blinked, realizing she had zoned out. She smiled softly, but it didn't quite reach her eyes. "Yeah... I'm fine."
Naruto frowned slightly, seeing through her attempt to brush off her worries. He reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder. "If something's bothering you, you can tell me. You know that, right?"
Ino hesitated, her fingers gripping the edge of the blanket. "I just... I can't shake this feeling, Naruto-kun. I think... I think my father is looking for me. I don't know why, but I just feel it in my chest."
Naruto's eyes softened, and he pulled her into a gentle hug. "You're safe here, Ino-chan. I won't let anything happen to you, I promise."
Ino buried her face in his shoulder, feeling a mix of comfort and fear. She wanted to believe him. She wanted to trust that everything would be okay, but the feeling wouldn't go away.
*A Day at the Amusement Park*
After a shower and breakfast, Naruto suggested a trip to the amusement park, hoping to lift Ino's spirits. He knew how much she had been carrying lately and thought that some fun might help her feel a little lighter. Besides, they both deserved a break.
