Kim Namjoon's beauty was a masterpiece of contrast. His delicate features- plump lips, deep ocean-like dimples, and chocolate brown eyes- belied a resilient spirit. His raven black hair cascade down his back like a waterfall of night, framing a face that shone like a beacon in the darkness. But Namjoon's true beauty lay within- a heart full of love, compassion and kindness.
As a child Namjoon had known nothing but only happiness. His parents Kim Jae-joon and Kim Min-ji had showered him with affection. "Namjoon-ahh, you're Mama's little angel" Min-ji would coo, embracing him tightly. Jae-joon would chuckle, ruffling Namjoon's black silky hair."you're going to make some one very happy one day, cupcake" jae-joon said sincerity filling his voice.
But life had other plans.
Tragedy struck when Namjoon was 10. His mother passed away, leaving a gaping hole in his heart. Jae-joon grief was palpable, but Namjoon's own sorrow was overwhelming."eomma, don't leave me!"He'd cried, clinging to her hospital bed.
The day's that followed were a blur. Jae-joon's sorrow gradually gave way to indifference and Namjoon was left to navigate his emotions all alone.
Then, Hanna arrived.
Lee Hanna was viper in sheep's clothing- beautiful, cunning and ruthless. She sank into Jae-joon, manipulating him with ease. "You need me Jae-joon-shiii I'll take care of you and joonie"
Namjoon's instincts screamed warning but his father besotted. Hanna's true nature soon revealed itself- her jealousy with Namjoon's heavenly beauty, verbal abuse and physical cruelty and a calculating heart.
"You're nothing but a burden, Namjoon!" Hanna would snarl.
Jae-joon stood idly by, his silence condoning hanna's atrocities.
Namjoon's life become a living hell.
But amidst the chaos, he found solace in two people- Jennie Kim and Jisoo Kim. They'd met in school with one more friend but he left them, bonding over shared struggles.
