ADRIELA'S POV
if i had to pick between getting my head chopped off and spending the night with nicholas.. i would simply pick the first option.

"so what, we can't just hang out at a restaurant until the weather gets better?" i ask, placing my purse and camera on the singular bed.

nick shook his head, "no, the weather isn't getting any better till tomorrow. at least, that's what the news are saying."

"great." i exhale, untying my shoes and angrily kicking them off my feet.

nicholas stood, leaned back on one of the chairs near the front door as he stared at the ground.

his hair was so wet from the violent rain that it was dripping onto the thick dark brown carpet. though, his mind was elsewhere.

he stared hard, as if regretting every single thing that led him to this moment.

"you should probably dry your hair before you catch a cold." i commented out loud.

as if my voice woke him up, "huh?" he asked before quickly realizing what i had meant and standing up straight.

"were you asleep with your eyes open?" i jokingly ask, chuckling at the thought. nick was quick to laugh with me, crossing his arms and walking towards me.

he looked me up and down, examining my outfit before his eyes met mine. "there is a store nearby, i can go get you some shirt and pants to sleep in."

"oh." i uttered before checking out my own outfit.

a smirk found his lips as he walked away from me and picked up his car keys and wallet. "i'll be back in a bit."

and just like that, he was out.

i finally let out a breath i had not realized i was holding as i walked over to the bathroom and splashed my face with cold water.

watching approximately a hundred and thirty two edits of nicholas before going to sleep did not help.

i can't even look at him or be in the presence of him without acting like a fucking fool.

with a sigh, i decided to turn on the steaming hot water before taking off my clothes and getting into the shower.

to be honest, taking showers in motels - hotels was never something i liked. i always still felt disgusting, more gross than before.

but being in a car for so long, my clothes wet and smelling like rain was even more of a nightmare.

after fifteen to twenty minutes, i turned off the water and finally got out. the foggy mirror made me want to leave the bathroom and breathe fresh air.

picking up the white long towel, i wrapped it around my chest before opening up the door and exiting.

the sight of nicholas made me want to run back into the bathroom, lock the door and pray the ground would open up and swallow me whole.

instead, i walked up to him. he stood there, frozen in place before handing me the bag of brand new warm clothes.

with a bright smile, i thanked him and walked back into the bathroom before changing.

he got a dark red sweater with the word "MIAMI" on it in white and some grey sweatpants. after adjusting my hair, i walked out of the room once again.

"sorry, i needed a shower after all that." i sighed before sitting back down on the bed.

nick nodded, avoiding eye contact, "no you're good. there was a pizza place near the store so, you can eat."
