So, this is a new story idea that popped into my head. I wanna post the first chapter to see what people think. I appreciate any comments my readers leave.

I stood in my New York City apartment. It wasn't much right now, but it was the best I could do at the moment. It was a two bedroom, 1 bath apartment. The walls were a white colored and I had a incredible hard wood floor. The furniture was mainly black, white, and grey. My living room consisted of a black couch, a glass coffee table, a couple of white plush chairs, and a tv. My guest room consisted of a queen sized bed with a white and grey comforter. There was a black night stand and dresser. It also contained a black chair.

My room contained a king sized bed with a black comforter. There was also a black nightstand and dresser. My bathroom was pure white really. Finally, there was my favorite room, the kitchen. I loved to cook. My kitchen had brown hardwood floors and white countertops with silver and black accents around the kitchen. The area was a decent size. The place worked for me.

I stared at my closet wondering what I should wear for my first day on the job. I couldn't believe I had actually landed a job so quickly, and at such a incredible company. Masen Incorporations was an outstanding business that sky rocketed.

As I stared as my closet, I tried to figure out what could complete my outfit. For my first day on the job, I decided on a my black skirt that was a mixture of flowy but was made of a stiffer fabric that made it more business like. For my top, I decided on a form fitting grey sweater with three-quarter sleeve. For accessories, I picked a larger pearl necklace, fake of course as if I could afford real peals. I just needed to pick what bag I wanted to take. I couldn't decided between a black satchel bag or a small hand purse. I finally decided on the satchel. I then lock the door to my apartment and make my way down to the already busy street of the city.

I flag down a taxi and after a couple of minutes, I finally catch one.

"243 eight street, please", I say to the taxi driver. Before I can even buckle up, he takes off speeding through traffic. I finally buckle in and hold on. As we drive through the city, I look at the magnificent view. The buildings are so tall, they touch the sky. The buildings have the glass panel on the outside the reflect what is going on out on the streets. The sky was covered with grey clouds, it looked like it was going to rain later.

Ten minutes later, we reach the front of a massive building, with the glass panel on the outside. There were people coming in and out, all dressed in business apparel. They were all in their own worlds it seemed, looking down at papers, phones or tablets. I honestly wondered how they all managed to not hit or run into each other. They managed to zig and zag around each other, if that were me I would hit so many people. My clumsy nature had that effect on me at times when I was nervous, like right now.

"That will be $20.50, madam" said the taxi driver. I handed over the money and got out of the taxi. As I got out of the taxi, I took a deep breath to calm myself. I then tried, key word tried, to walk confidently into the building. I made sure to avoid all the occupants exiting the building.

As I entered the building, I saw the outside of the building was nothing compared to the inside. There were tall pillars all around the lobby. The floor was a mix of white and black. There were several seats and couches scattered along the lobby. In the center, there was a large desk. I walked over to speak to the person behind it.

Behind the desk, there sat a beautiful blonde women. She had white blonde hair that was pulled back into a bun with a few wisps falling around to frame her face, but there were no dark roots or any sign her hair was dyed. The ladies skin was a pale ivory. She looked up at me and her eyes were an deep ocean blue that were framed with thick, long black eyelashes. She could be a model, so I wondered why she was working as a secretary.

" Hello, may I help you. My name is Elizabeth", she said to me. It took me a moment to answer, still recovering from her appearance.

" Oh, um. Yes you can help me. Hello my name is Azalea Grimm. I am here to see Mr. Elijah Wolfe", I said trying not to stutter and make a fool of myself on my first day.

She looks at her computer for a moment and then looks back up at me. She says, " oh yes. It will be one moment please, Mr. Wolfe is in a meeting at a moment. You may have a seat while you wait, may I get you something to drink while you wait."

" No thank you, I wouldn't want to be a bother to you," I say. She looks at me and smiles. She says, " It's no bother at all, would you like coffee or tea?"

"Coffee please," I say. While she is off fetching my drink, I taker a closer look around the lobby.

There were paitings of men in suits who looked to be of much importance. As I was looking at the picture of two men shaking hands, Elizabeth came back holding a foam cup filled with my coffee.

" If you would follow this way please Miss Grimm," she says. She then walked over to an elevator. I quickly follow her.

" You will be meeting and working with Mr. Wolfe on the 23rd floor," she says.

Wow, I was glad there were elevators. I would never survive having to walk up those stairs.

We reach the 23rs floor and get off. I start to shake, then I suddenly drop my coffee on the floor due to my jittery hands. It spills all over the clean floor

I start to stutter an apology out, mortified at wat I just did. Elizabeth just smiles at me.

" Its no problem. I will clean it up later. A little spilled coffee is nothing to worry about," she says.

" If you could write here, I'll go fetch Me. Wolfe now," she says. She then starts walking down the hall and into a door.

I look around and wonder what Mr. Wolfe looks like. I automatically imagined an older man with grey hair and wrinkles.

I heard a door creek and looked up. Mr. Wolf walked through the door and he was nothing like I thought he was.
