Chapter 31

He responded quickly and held my jaw for support. He angled his head to kiss me deeper as if we didn't see each other for a year. I could feel his longing through his kiss. He doesn't want to let go. I just wanted to comfort him, and for everything he did tonight. I might not like the decision he made, but I am proud that he bravely caught the criminal. But his longing was stronger than any comfort I could give.

His kiss was getting deeper and deeper every time our lips locked. I closed my eyes tight and wrapped my arms on his neck to pull him more. My heart was throbbing so hard I couldn't catch my breath no matter what I did. I have never felt this way before. I feel like I am becoming a different person when I am with Rohen.

And I am willing to do everything to stay this way.

If something happens. If he ever leaves me. Everyone will find me in a deep hole, alone and stuck. That I dig for myself.

And if Rohen will risk his life for me. I am more than willing to do too for him.

The burning in my chest just fueled more with my realizations.

He slowly let go of my lips, I used that moment and gasped for air. He put his forehead above mine, our nose touching. His grip on me became stronger.

"You must be so tired today..." he whispered, not letting go of me. I nodded at him. "You need to get some sleep baby... we'll talk again tomorrow." he caressed my face and looked at me.

Mapungay ang mata nitong tumingin sa akin. I smiled at him.

I touched his jaw. "We have something to talk about tomorrow." I said weakly.

Bahagyang kumunot ang noo niya ngunit binawi niya rin iyon agad at tumango na lang. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Morning," paalala ko sa kanya.

He nodded again. "Morning." he mirrored my tone.

I put my cup of coffee on the table. Unfortunately maagang pinatawag ni Governor si Rohen upang kausapin. Malamang hindi rin sila natuwa sa ginawa nito kahapon. He said he'll talk to me first pero pinilit ko na siyang maunang kausapin si Governor.

It's also my way not to meet his family members while I am here. Pinipilit ko na lang na ubusin itong kape para makabalik ako ng kwarto, o lalabas nalang ako habang hinihintay si Rohen. But before I could even finish it I saw a familiar figure walking inside the dining room.

In his navy blue polo shirt and black jeans, he went near me and bent down to plant a kiss on my forehead.

"Done?" I asked, dahil ang bilis naman ata. Ang rinig ko kinausap rin siya ng mga magulang niya.

Tumango ito at bumuntong hininga. "Yeah... what are we going to talk about?" kanina pa siya hindi mapakali kung ano ang pag-uusapan namin.

Pinagdikit ko ang dalawang labi at tumayo na, dahilan upang mapaatras siya. His brow raised a little bit.

"Let's not talk here," luminga-linga ako sa paligid. "Somewhere far and alone."

He pushed his tongue inside his cheeks. "Alright," pagpayag niya agad.

Nalimog ang mata ko nang hawakan niya ang kamay ko at hinila ako palabas ng dining room. Sa backdoor kami dumaan at dire-diretso lang kami hanggang makalayo sa mansyon.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Farm." sagot niya bago kami huminto sa ilalim na isang malaking puno.

Natigilan ako nang makita na nakatali si Duncan doon. "Inuwi mo siya dito?"
