Jisung couldn't concentrate. It was the middle of Transfiguration class one fine December morning, just a week before the highly-gossiped topic that was the centre of most of the conversations at Hogwarts would begin.

He'd finally entered his fourth year, and it was a special one at that: this was the first time in two hundred years that the Triwizard Tournament was being held, and the whole school was excited for it.

He did have to resign himself, however, to the fact that he wouldn't be able to participate, since Dumbledore had given the students strict orders that no student under 17 would be able to enter, a fact which took him (and many other students) a long time to accept.

He stared over at his classmate Minho, who was sleeping with his head down on the desk, and smiled lightly.

"He's cute when he's sleeping," Jisung thought, staring at Minho's soft black hair, and down to his sleeping face. He'd had a small crush on him for the longest time, and for a long while he wasn't sure if it was actually him having feelings for his best friend, or just the brotherly attraction that was just his friendship instincts kicking in.

He'd been with Minho since before the start of Hogwarts, and even back then they'd been friends; and they'd celebrated together when their letters arrived, and when Gryffindor won the house cup in first year, and when they'd joined the school band, and they'd gotten scared together in second year, and then again in third when the murderer Black was found to be on Hogwarts grounds.

"Misters Jisung! Minho! Are you listening to me?" Professor McGonagall's voice rang across the Transfiguration classroom with a heavy sense of irritation. "You are here to learn, not to sleep!"

Minho's eyes fluttered open, his face flushed with embarrassment. He straightened up in his seat, rubbing his eyes and looking around as if he had just realised he was in class, while Jisung snapped out of his daydream, turning his neck toward the front of the classroom and away from Minho as fast as he could.

"As I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted," Professor McGonagall continued, glaring straight at the two after a brief pause, "Your homework will be as stated on the board: you are to describe the ways in which Transforming Spells must be adapted when performing Cross-Species Switches, with examples." She continued, ignoring the groans of the students in the room, "We have covered this subject in the past three lessons, so you are expected to hand this in next lesson. I expect at least one foot of parchment."

Jisung stared at his friend, whose face was buried in his hands. "One foot?" Minho complained to himself. "As if we haven't gotten enough to do already!"

Jisung gave his friend a sympathetic nod. Though he wanted to do well in class, he couldn't help but agree. Ever since his name had come out of the Goblet of Fire, he had been under intense pressure—not just from fellow students, but from teachers as well. The unexpected announcement had thrust him into the spotlight, and he found himself being questioned and scrutinised from all angles.

His friends and classmates were curious, eager to know more about how he was coping with the unexpected role. Conversations around him often revolved around the Tournament, and it felt like every interaction was tinged with the intense excitement and speculation surrounding his participation. Yet, it was the teachers' persistent questioning that really weighed heavily on him.

Professor Dumbledore, in particular, had subjected him to a rigorous interrogation that lasted over an hour. The Headmaster's demeanour was calm and composed, but the intensity of his questions left Jisung feeling uneasy. Dumbledore had asked him how his name got into the Goblet, if he had sought help from an older student to put it in, and whether he had any idea why the Goblet had chosen him despite the age restrictions.
