Jayquan's POV
"You know I still don't know yuh name right."
I glanced at her as she looked out the window.
"Huh, what you say?" She turned to me.
"I said, you ain't tell me your name yet."
"I thought you would've found that out by now seeing as you got so many contacts around the school. Someone was bound to tell you."
"Nah. I wanna find out from you."
She glanced back out the window like she was thinking real hard whether or not to tell me.
"Raine."
"Oh yeah, the rain ain't falling as hard as it did yesterday." I said.
"No, not that, my name is Raine."
I looked at her and frowned.
"Well that's depressing. But then again if you look on the bright side its kinda sweet and...what's the word. Oh yeah, unique."
When I said that she was blushing all kinds of red. I smiled at that.
"Why you talking to me?" She asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Why you start talking to me all of a sudden?"
"So what you saying, I can't just get up one day and randomly start talking to a girl."
"No." She said in a 'duh' tone.
"Reeeaally."
"You don't seem like the type of guy to do that."
"Then what type of guy am I."
She glanced at me and raised her left eyebrow.
"You know. Conceited, arrogant, intemperate, spoiled and misunderstood."
"Misunderstood. You think that I'm misunderstood?"
"Yes. I do."
"And why do you say that?"
"Its obvious. You act like the bad boy around school, all tough and nobody can hurt me. When in reality your just some boy whose probably having trouble at home and would rather spend the day reading a book than go to parties and fuck everything with a pussy that walks on two feet. Well that's just my theory anyway, I could be totally wrong."
I was shocked outa my mind and speechless. How did she get all of that from just talking to me for one day.
I pulled up to her house still not saying anything. It was a peaceful neighborhood.
Her house was nice. It was a two story home painted in white and a light shade of green. It had a small porch with a big white door and various assortments of flowers and bushes loitered the front yard that also formed a neat hedge running on both sides of the house to the back. It also separated the yard from the neighboring houses.
"Stay inside the car." I told her.
I quickly opened the car door and jumped out making my way to the other side opening her door.
"Okay, I wasn't expecting that either. You're quite the charmer."
She gave me a disbelieving look.
"One of my many acquired talents." I smiled down at her.
She grabbed her bag which she had placed on the back seat and stepped out of the car. She made her way way around me and I closed the door. I walked back around to my side of the car.
