"Ma!" I yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

"Yeah?" She yelled back.

"I'm going for a walk! I'll be back later!" I said unlocking the front door and closing it behind me.

"Be back soon enough to take out the trash!" Mom joked.

I laughed to myself and walked down the pavement. It got chilly so I zipped my jacket. I saw a black figure come out behind a pole.

I looked back, but see nothing. I decide to just walk a little faster. So does the figure, returning to his position a couple of feet behind me. I detour to the park trying to lose this punk.

He starts following me. Picking up speed in every step. I ran.
Faster.
Faster.
Faster.
Faster.
So does the figuring, growling like a mean dog.

I run towards the monkey bars. As I run I hit the ground hard. I look down and my foot is trapped in a uplifting tree root. The dark figure runs up to me.

"Please!" I began to beg.

The figure pulls out what seemed to be a gun.

"You will pay!" They said.

"Noooo!" I pleaded in tears.

POW! POW! POW! POW!

I held my stomach trembling at the feel of blood pouring in my hand. I looked at the figure as a tear fall down my face.

My body forced me to lay back. I still held my wound in shock. I closed my eyes and took deep breathes.

I thought of my family, friends, life! I look to the figure again and managed to whisper.

"You will have to live with this...forever." I tried breathing again but it was to late my body numbed and my eyes closed forcefully.

I took my last breath. Why?
