The Golden Wolf (On Hold)

Chapter 11

When we arrived my pack was astounded by the silver wolf that was Dayton. Drew, Dayton's beta, was the same about my golden pelt. I yipped at Dayton and we headed to a shed with a few changing rooms with extra clothes in them. I shift and change into a grey halter top and a pair of jean shorts. I quickly French braid my long hair and walk out to face my rambunctious pack. My best friends meet me right outside.

"He's the Silver Wolf! He's the other half of your prophecy! When did you find out? Why didn't you tell us?" I laughed and pushed them away so I could breathe.

"I just found out, I know what he is, duh! I just ran home with him!"

As I finish, Dayton comes out of the shed. I figure it took him longer because he had to find clothes that fit. He walks over and wraps an arm around me. His face is buried in my neck as he breathes in my scent. I lean into his chest and feel my muscles relax. My pack has a meeting with me, Dayton, and the elders of both packs to look foreword to.

Dayton's POV
Jade is the golden wolf of my prophecy. We are bound to be together. I mind link Drew and ask him to call the elders. We will need a meeting soon.

* 3rd person for the meeting. *

Jade and Dayton sit really close at the head of the table. The elders line both sides of the long wooden table.

"The prophecy says that the Golden and Silver wolves would be the savior of werewolf kind." Dayton's pack began.

"Indeed. These two need to be heavily guarded." Dayton pulls Jade into his lap. Sometime throughout the day they had decided that they couldn't stay apart any longer. They began to take strength from the presence and small touches from the other.

Nothing had happened yet, but there was no way to contact other packs right now.

"We must travel to the other packs. We must be sure they are okay." Jade announces. Dayton agrees with her decision. The elders confer on the subject for a long while, before finally agreeing that the other packs must be checked on.
