The first term final exam was starting its newly dreaded physical part, as students would be put against there teacher to ensure their futur confrontation with the LOV. Tokoyami in his new and glorious form of feathers and shadows was standing at the beginning of a great complexe. This is were he would be facing the pro hero Ectoplasm alone, deemed worthy of doing so that way in contrary to the rest of his classmate.

He was standing straight and imposing with his tall stature, proud and confident as he looked down on the place that would at the place that would host his display of power. And he had all the rights to act that way. After all, he was the ascending God's chosen son and the first child of the hunt ! But he was no fool and would not fail by succumbing to overconfidence, his God was watching him and he would not dare to disappoint Midoryia.

All the Wendigo's wise words were ingrained into his mind : the hunt was endless, relentless and unforgiving. While you live and bathe in the heart of its glory, the slightest mistake or lack in your concentration will bring you to your doom and a painful death. Not even higher beings are out of its predatory reach, his God confessed him that even he himself could fall.

Izuku : But if such event was to happen... there should be no ill feelings towards the victor... as it would be only nature running its course... I would die... and my killer would ascend, taking my place... as it should be.

Personally, Fumikage could not fathom to see or even imagine such an event occur. Izuku was his holy father and savior, while he and his parents were his humble servants. He was to become his first apostle, and if any hunter were to prove vile and foolish enough to try slaying their God they would have to kill them first. When he had declared this fact alongside his own two parents in front of the Emerald Wendigo, the former was conflicted and worried about the information. Happy because of their devotion, yet worried that it would make them go against the hunt.

However, Tokoyami have no more time to have such thoughts parasite his mind. The alarm that would start his test would soon resonate, and he could already feel his opponent taking place in the other side of this complexe. Gripping his staff with more force and tightening his muscles as a predator would right before a surprise attack, he could feel Dark Shadow within him shivering in anticipation. With the feeling of his God's inquisitive stare weighing on his whole being, he took a long breath and fixed his gaze ahead with determination.

*Loud alarm starting to resonate throughout the building*

Nedzu : Alright young Tokoyami, your test begins now !

Tokoyami : The time has come, the hunt begin... I will not disappoint you my lord...

As soon as the test began, Fumikage leaped to the nearest shadow before extending his wings and letting out a primal, deafening screech. While everyone except Midoryia were temporary stunned by the sound, a great mass of pure shadow and gold started to form on the bestial crow stomach. Once reaching a significant size, it slithered away from his body before separating into multiple, smaller masses.

Those fragments of condensed shadow soon morphed into dark and bloody ravens with golden eyes and talons barely bigger than normal ones. Those were the Carrion Crows, his scouts and messengers, eyes and ears to be spread everywhere to Overwatch the hunt. They were his Dark Shadow. Once he had send them away to learn the entire layout and most impotently locate his prey, he himself merged and disappear unto the darkness.
