Social — The word has many meanings, but for this instance, we're going to use this one: it relates to or is designed for activities where people meet for pleasure.
Anxiety — a mental condition characterized by excessive apprehensiveness about real or perceived threats, typically leading to avoidance behaviors and often to physical symptoms such as increased heart rate and muscle tension.
Now, put those two words together, and you have social anxiety. Where the brain makes doing something normal, like going out with friends, seem absolutely daunting. Peter Accardi was used to his brain, making his life far more complicated than needed.
That's where Evan Buckley comes in. A known womanizer and a total flirt. Peter can't help but notice that when he's around, the buzzing in his brain dims, voices become clearer, and his hands stop shaking.
It's a funny thing — life. It drags you down, pulls you up, then rips the rug from under you. The cycle repeats until you can't tell up from down anymore.
And then, when all's said and done, you've finally given up. Life decides to throw you one more bone. And all you can do is pray you catch it and never let go.
