For the next few days, Taehyung found himself closely observing Jungkook, studying his every move as if trying to crack the code that would finally make him snap. He watched how Jungkook managed to stay calm no matter what Taehyung did, always shrugging off the provocations with that infuriating smirk.

One afternoon, Taehyung wandered into Jungkook’s private gym area, his gaze sweeping over the space. The equipment gleamed under the light, and in the center of the room was a boxing ring that Jungkook used frequently for practice. Taehyung had watched him practice from a distance over the past few days. Despite himself, he had to admit that Jungkook looked... cool. The way his muscles flexed with each punch, his focused expression---it was a side of Jungkook that Taehyung had grudgingly come to appreciate, though he’d never admit it.

Still pouting, Taehyung’s eyes landed on Jungkook’s prized black boxing gloves. He knew Jungkook liked them a lot; they were always neatly placed on the rack when not in use. The thought of destroying them crossed Taehyung’s mind, but he quickly dismissed it. The gloves didn’t cost millions like others stuff, so even tearing them apart wouldn’t provoke much of a reaction. Jungkook would probably just laugh it off and replace them.

With a sigh, Taehyung walked over to the gloves. He ran his fingers over the smooth leather, curiosity piquing. Maybe he could try it---just to see what the big deal was. A small part of him wanted to feel the power that Jungkook seemed to have when he wore them. With excitement building, Taehyung grabbed one of the gloves and slipped his hand inside. It fit snugly, but then---something caught.

His bracelet.

The delicate chain had somehow gotten tangled inside the glove, and no matter how gently Taehyung tried to pull his hand out, it wouldn’t budge. He bit his lip in annoyance and tried again, tugging a little harder this time. The bracelet wasn’t letting go. Frustration bubbled up inside him. Why did this always happen to him?

Finally, he yanked his hand back with force.

Rip.

The sound was unmistakable. Taehyung’s heart dropped as he looked down at the glove. A long tear ran down the side, the expensive leather now hanging uselessly. His eyes widened in horror.

“Oh no…” he whispered, glancing around as if someone might have seen what just happened. He quickly slipped his hand out, freeing the bracelet but at the cost of destroying Jungkook's beloved glove. Taehyung stood frozen, staring at the glove in disbelief. This wasn’t part of the plan! He hadn’t meant to actually break it!

Taehyung’s eyes widened in shock as Jungkook entered the room, immediately spotting the torn gloves in his hands. His face, usually composed and unreadable, darkened as he stared at the ruined gloves. His jaw clenched, and for a moment, Taehyung thought he saw something more than just anger---there was sadness in Jungkook’s eyes, too.

Jungkook stormed over and snatched the gloves from Taehyung’s hands, gazing down at them in horror. His expression twisted, and Taehyung knew that, despite the initial anger, Jungkook would probably shrug it off like he always did. A smirk, a sarcastic comment, and then he’d let it go.

Taehyung casually shrugged, already turning to leave. But before he could take another step, he was yanked back by the arm, the sudden force catching him off guard. Jungkook’s grip tightened, and in one swift motion, he shoved Taehyung back. Taehyung’s back slammed against the wall with a painful thud, and he let out a small hiss of pain, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Jungkook had never been this rough.

Taehyung opened his mouth to speak, but before he could even process what was happening, Jungkook was on him, his large hand grabbing Taehyung’s jaw with a bruising force. He pinned him against the wall, his eyes blazing with fury, his grip rough enough to make Taehyung wince.
