She got out of her friend's car and slowly paced towards the door, she was 5 minutes late from her curfew. She felt ridiculous, she was 36 yet she still had a curfew. Forget that! She never even had a curfew as a child, it was only until she got married that this tyranny began. The only reason she was still married was because she couldn't bear to break her children's heart with a divorce. They didn't know anything about Robert- they didn't know about his second identity, no one did ...only her.

She gulped and stopped in front of her house door with its distinctive mahogany wood that fit in with all the ancient houses surrounding it. She took out her key wishing she could just disappear, she could feel her eyes fill and her body shake with fear out what was gonna happen. She took a step back; maybe she could get away... Just then, the door opened.

She froze, her husband stood there with a look of disgust and disapproval she was used to. It destroyed his good looks, but she couldn't see it, she hated him so much she couldn't ever see him as anything but ugly. She saw him as a man with mud-colored hair, murky garbage-colored eyes, and face too sharp. "You're 6 minutes late," and he stepped aside so she could come it.

She always hated being weak, "Stop treating me like a baby! 9'o clock is too early for a curfew!" she snapped at him to hide her fear.

"You're the wife of a police chief, most respected in the whole town. Act like it," He didn't say it like he was angry, only an observation but she knew better, he never sounded angry even when he was.

She didn't know what came over her, maybe it was everything that kept piling up for the last 12 years they were married. It was a shotgun marriage and they got along perfectly but soon after her first son, Joshua, was born he started the hidden insults and violence. She was too scared to tell anyone else about the miscarriage, the silent anger, the insults, the rules, the violence.

She took a step forward, anger filling her up with each word, "If everyone knew what you were really like, you wouldn't have a reputation to protect, you poor excuse of a human!!!" She shivered when she saw the silent anger in his eyes but didn't stop, "Let's get divorced, and I'll leave with Joshua."

His eyes widened," No."

"I wasn't giving you an option!"

"Auttie, you can leave if you want to but, I will keep Joshua."

Autumn snorted, 'Not a chance! Josh is coming with me."

Robert frowned visibly, "He is my child also, I should get to at least meet him once a week."

Autumn gnashed her teeth to calm her shaking. She had enough, this had gone on for too long and she was already in enough trouble with Robert that stopping wouldn't help. She had to be strong now.

" If Joshua stays with you, his life will be ruined after I tell everyone about your abuse."

Robert lurked forward, "You are not telling anyone anything!" He lunged towards his wife's throat and squeezed as hard as he could. Autumn's shaking hands reached for her throat to free it but not fast enough. Robert squeezed harder, and there was a small snapping sound. The sound made Robert jump, and he quickly let go, but it was too late. Autumn's limp body fell to the ground, her neck folding in an impossible way.

Robert felt a powerful surge fill him up, like the high when taking drugs, this feeling like you are stronger than other. The feeling of betterment you could call it but like how the high must go back down, the feeling was soon gone. Now all he felt was bitter remorse, regret, and shock. How? How could he have killed anyone? Murder was different from abuse and violence, it was worse. It was irreversible and brutal. He still couldn't understand what made him do it, maybe it was the fact Autumn would take his only child, or the fact that she would leave, or the fact that she would destroy his reputation and life. It didn't matter, what did matter was the fact that he was now a murderer.

No! He couldn't, wouldn't allow it! He wouldn't allow himself to stoop so low to become a murderer! He would do anything to change that. Anything....

Then suddenly he remembered. He remembered that 2 days ago, an arsonist burned down the police station. So all the confiscated stuff was with him, the police chief.

He remembered that 5 days ago, the police had confiscated a wood chipper from an illegal owner. And then Robert knew what to do. He rushed, no, he strolled to the kitchen and found the butcher knife. Then he dragged Autumn to the bathroom. He put his former wife in the tub and started slicing.

He chopped up her body into many gory chunks, allowing himself to enjoy the thrill. Then he opened the water faucet and washed away all the blood. Then he took a big plastic bag and put the pieces in there.

Rob dragged the bag to his car and dumped it into the back seat. He attached the wood chipper to his car and away he went and he knew exactly where. The village was situated near a huge lake, called Lake Zoarr.

Robert Tacnter got out of his car and went to the back of his car, where the wood chipper was. He unattached the chipper and steered it in front of the lake. Then he took out the huge plastic bad from his back seat and opens it. The air is filled with the stench of rot and human flesh but Robert inhales the smell like it was musk. To him, it smells like victory.

He took a piece of the body, a half arm to be more precise, and put it in the chipper. It went *Vrrrrr* and spat out minuscule pieces of ligament and bone powder into the lake. He felt this powerful feeling, like he was on top of everything. Like he was unstoppable, a life was in his hands. Whatever would happen to the body was his decision, she was under his control. He felt strong and unbeatable, like he was on drugs. He put another limb into the wood chipper to stop the high from going away and he kept on putting more gory parts in the chipper until they were all smaller than atoms and at the bottom of the lake Zoarr.

Robert reached into the bag only to find out that all the limbs were gone. He felt a small feeling of disappointment and small bitterness. He felt addicted to the sight of limbs shredding into nothingness and the sound of bones snapping and cracking, and the ligaments ripping and tearing. It was the best music to him. So he headed to his car after getting rid of the bag by filling it with rocks, and threw it down the unseen bottom of the lake. When he arrived at home it was still only 12:05 A.M.

The town was devastated. It appeared that the town's most loved and famous police chief, Robert Tacnter's wife Autumn Tacnter (mostly known as Auttie) had eloped with some unknown man. It seems that Robert had always known about the affair but kept quiet in hopes that she would stop. The town was also not too surprised, she avoided her husband, it must've been the guilt the town mused.

No one knew the true story about the sad death of Autumn Tacnter and there was no one to tell the story, for sometimes guilt and love is more known in the least situations. Some thought it was the tragedy of his wife but no one really knew. The night after his wife disappeared, Robert committed suicide.

Love for gore....

Guilt for the murder......

Which one was stronger?......
